Luisa could not imagine the Count dying. It was just too sad to think something would happen to him since she liked him. If she only had a grandfather, like her friend, Noreen, she would wish to have someone like him.
But until now, she could not decide whether she should accept his proposal. She had planned to outright say no to him. But considering the Count in the equation, she was conflicted.
Now, she was waiting in the garden for the Count to join her for breakfast. But he was unusually late as she had waited almost half an hour for him to show up.
