As he expected, his grandfather dragged him home to attend this stupid wedding. He had no time for this, thinking he could have more use of his time in his work, but he had no choice. He could not dishonor his grandfather by disregarding tradition.
He still had an obligation to the Kingdom and his family despite not being chosen in line for the throne. He still had to respect and follow their laws as long as he held his title as Prince and future Count of their land.
"I am happy you join us, Prince Liam, for my daughter's wedding, taking time away from your busy schedule." Prince Edward spoke directly at him at the breakfast table at the palace as they joined the King in this festivity.
He could not blame the older Prince if he placed much sarcasm in his voice when he addressed him. It was no secret that Prince Edward offered his daughter to him first to take as his wife, but he declined the arrangement.
