Seo-yeon walked into her son's ward already dressed to visit Do-yun's place for the day. Ma-ri had promised to pick her up in ten minutes so she had to quickly rush things, wearing her shoes and attending to whatever that might need her attention, she was feeding Ji-hoon who had stubbornly refused to allow any nurse feed him.
"Open up Ji-hoon, I understand why you don't want them to feed you but you have no choice." Seo-yeon softly explained as she quickly put on her bracelets, still feeding her son at the same time, she felt like a wonder woman based on how she kept getting things done in seconds.
"I made the food so they can't poison it." She assured her son who had always been cautious of who gives or feeds him since the previous year when he was poisoned while he was at the hospital.
Seo-yeon had always understood that so she never complained when he didn't eat from another person, he rarely eats from his baby minder as well, he prefers having snacks all day and eating when he is back home.
After Seo-yeon, he only trusted Ma-ri and Ge-un would never poison him.
"Alright baby. Open up since you are being helplessly stubborn right now." Seo-yeon shoved the last spoon of rice into Ji-hoon's mouth, earning a pout from the little boy who looked displeased.
"Sorry. My manners."
The sound of Seo-yeon's phone buzzing from a corner caught her attention except she didn't know exactly where the buzz was coming from.
"Oh bummer, I can't find my phone." She picked up her hair brush, brushing her hair while scanning the area for her phone till she noticed it at the end side of the couch.
"Gotcha!"
She hurried towards it and immediately received it while continuously combing through her hair. "Hey Ma-ri....Yes I'm almost done…. Whatever just get yourself up here."
Not long after, Ma-ri entered with a small bag and handed it over to Ji-hoon who was eagerly waiting to be given.
"There's everything you should eat while we're gone. I'm sure you can do it all on your own right baby?"
Ji-hoon nodded before hugging Ma-ri earning himself a pat on the head. She turned to look at her friend who hasn't gotten her bearing ever since she stepped into the room.
"And let me guess, you had to bathe and feed Ji-hoon yourself?"
"Looks like it." Seo-yeon groaned looking at the brush with frustration. "Come on already."
Ma-ri walked to her and pulled her to the sofa. Adjusting her dress, she helped her with little touches to her make up and made her hair into a low ponytail.
"What would you do without me?" Ma-ri rhetorically asked.
" Are you telling me I can't dress myself?"
Seo-yeon frowned as she registered her friend's word, glaring daggers into her friend who was looking at her with a smirk.
"You said it yourself dumb head." Ma-ri replied and Seo-yeon just sighed not wanting to start on the insults early this morning.
"Just let's get going. I see talking to you as a waste of time really." Seo-yeon rolled her eyes, walking back to her son's bed to give him a quick peck. "Be a good boy okay? The nurses will check on you alright?"
"Yes momma." He smiled and she pinched his cheeks playfully.
"Alright sweetheart, see you soon."
Seo-yeon lovingly waved at him and he waved back as they walked out of the ward.
On their way down to the parking lot, Ma-ri was busy checking through the files with her and she wasn't paying enough attention to her direction when she bumped into her boyfriend who was equally in some sort of hurry.
"And why aren't you focused on where you're going? You should have bumped into a pillar instead." Ge-un teased in a half serious tone while looking down at his girlfriend.
"Good morning to you too hooligan." She frowned.
"Who is the actual hooligan between both of us?" Ge-un raised his brows in an inquiring manner.
"Looks like you're less busy today." She concluded since he had enough time to bicker with her this early in the morning, "then stay with Ji-hoon till we return. If I don't meet you there then don't even think of returning cause you'll be dead. Mark my words and you know what I can do." Ma-ri shot him a threatening gaze which only made him sigh in defeat.
"Good morning Seo-yeon." Ge-un bowed slightly and she bowed back before collecting the keys from Ma-ri who looked like she had something else to tell him.
Seo-yeon sat in the passenger's seat looking nervous. She held her hands up while looking at the screen of her phone. It's been a while since she saw or stepped into Do-yun's place and she didn't know if going there would just be the right decision she felt she had to make.
Not long after, Ma-ri stepped into the car and sat on the driver's seat.
"Took you long enough." Seo-yeon mumbled while fixing on her seatbelt and Ma-ri rolled her eyes.
"I had to tell him about something. It wasn't my fault either." She started the engines until it roared to life, "let's go."
Ma-ri's Benz drove across the city to the location of Do-yun's place. Do-yun's house was located in one of the most expensive estates in the city. As soon as they got to the gates of the mansion, the security stopped them as expected.
"Who are you and how may I help you?"
He asked, Ma-ri showed him the screen of her phone which was a permission from Do-yun to enter. As soon as he saw that, he politely opened the gates for them to enter.
Seo-yeon took a deep breath as the car drove into the large compound of Do-yun's house. You would have mistaken the house for a mafia palace if one didn't know who lived there. The exterior decor was enough to know the person living in the building was stinkingly rich.
There was a blue fountain in front of the large building and from where Ma-ri's car parked, one could see the large car park.
"It's okay Seo-yeon. Do-yun won't bite."
