Kendric didn't have to open his mouth to ask what was going on. He knew it all with just a glance from Farley. They spoke in silence. They cannot speak openly because what is happening is beyond human comprehension. This is the work of one of the non-human races.
"Find her another room" Kendric ordered to Ezra, to which he immediately answered.
"Unfortunately, all the rooms on this floor are occupied by participants and the training committee, sir. And the rooms on all the other floors are also full, because of the international football world event tomorrow." When he knew there was an attack in one of the rooms, he immediately came to survey. He collects all hotel room data. After that meet Farley to tell him what happened. He always works neatly and efficiently, which is what Farley likes him the most.
Vhaken's face hardened, hearing the order from the man. He could command Ezra easily. Even Ezra had to bow his head while talking to him. he carefully examined the man's figure from head to toe. He did look like a rich man. Wearing a gray shirt and branded black pants, this time. more relaxed than when he attended a training session wearing a suit, like a person attending a business event. Tall and slender, his hair loose slightly, relaxed. His face was clearly handsome. His eyes, enchanting blue eyes.
Before the others answered, he offered himself "She can stay in my room, I'll sleep on the sofa. Or on the floor doesn't matter to me" his words sounded rushed when they were spoken. Because he didn't want this man to give any more orders. after all, he was sure Leigh would agree. He had stayed at her house once. and his mind wanders the time in the night struggling with his desires. He twitched, his jaw clenched. Will he be able to contain his urge the moment he sees Leigh's sleeping face on his room?
"Hmm.... I can find another hotel---" Leigh chimed in with Vhaken, a grimace on her face, thinking of sleeping in the same room with him, even though she had known him for three months. Not that she would feel comfortable sleeping in the same room with him. She was sure, she would not be able to sleep at night.
Kendric cut Leigh's words off, before she revealed her crazy idea "Put her in my place, I have two rooms, She can fill the other empty room. It's safer for a single woman" his sentence broke Vhaken's words right in his heart. How could he let a woman sleep in the same room with a man. No, he wasn't going to let that happen, much less to Leigh.
With Kendric's words no one can argue with it. That's the absolute solution. Ezra bowed his head, taking orders. He helped Leigh collect her belongings to be transported and taken to the 77th floor. Left the room under the care of the hotel maintenance.
On the other hand, Vhaken's face hardened deeply, he bit his teeth, holding back emotions. How could he allow Leigh to stay close to the man she didn't really know. While he could tell Farley was bowing his head to him and from him not commenting, his face also showed that he agreed with the idea. It didn't matter, but it still didn't sit well with him.
Leigh herself froze hearing Kendric's words, a moment ago, she just felt relieved, she could leave him and rest in her room, but now she's back to his place even living in one room, preferably, not in one bedroom like Vhaken's idea. But still she felt awkward and nervous. Will she be able to get through the training days with a calm mind, she doesn't think so. Her thoughts will revolve around how to deal with this man from the various moments that will happen between them.
The noise outside the room continued. Everyone wanted to know and see what happened. In the midst of the crowd, came the chairman of the committee, approaching them. Her face was full of worry, she had just opened her mouth to speak but stopped halfway.
"Everything has been resolved Devanshi, no need to worry" Ezra broke whatever the committee chairman would say. Who was greeted with joy and then smiled cheerfully. At least she didn't have to worry about anything other than training matter. She stroked her chest, relieved.
The second Ezra and Leigh turned around to walk out of the room, Vhaken's trembling voice sounded "Leigh, are you sure?" he suppressed every word he said. He still wished his room was much better than anywhere else, strangers certainly weren't much better off than he and Leigh were right now.
"I have no other choice, Ken" 'This is the best choice, at least for now' she swallowed the last sentence in her mind. Leigh's last words made Kendric snapped his neck at her, sharply. And looked at her with a dark, deadly dagger's eye.
Kendric just realized, if the syllables of his first name are the same with him, the difference is he is at the beginning and he is at the end. But with the same nickname. How could he not notice this. deep wrinkles on his forehead. His eyes flashed aggressively.
Vhaken clenched his fists tightly, until his nails pierced the inside of his palms. pale. The sound of his teeth grinding was audible though faintly. He stood rooted in the same place in silence.
With no other objections, Ezra and Leigh exited the room, heading for the elevator leaving the others behind. Standing in the elevator, Leigh's hands gripped the straps of the bag across her chest. She kept thinking about all the possibilities that would happen. She couldn't help but be anxious.
The elevator doors opened, Ezra leading the way as before. But this time they headed for the front door of the room she'd been in for dinner with Kendric. 'Perhaps this is another extravangaza room, she is preparing her heart for something that will make her heart fall to the core, when she looks at the inside of the room before her right now.
And it's true what she thought. "Please come in Miss Leigh." As soon as they stepped inside. They were faced with a lounge room, an expensive and large sofa with a TV screen that was also large, maybe three times the TV she had at home. Perfect for watching movies at the cinema. The same display cabinets with another room, the difference is that the contents inside are more unique and antiques, which are much more expensive and historic. The stylish room decoration is identical to Yannick culture, elegant, classic and classy.
Her eyes continued to stare in awe. The crystal chandelier here is bigger than the next room. Sometimes she thought, why spend money on things that only appeal to the eye. But of little use. She took a deep breath.
Ezra didn't wait for her to stop admiring the room. He walked straight towards the room she would be occupying. Her room was directly opposite what she believed was Kendric's room. Her heart was beating wildly, the mighty horse inside wanted to burst out of its rib cage. She gripped the strap of her bag tighter.
She waited for Ezra to open the door. "This is your bedroom, Miss Leigh and across is Mr. Kendric's room." She followed Ezra obediently inside. Only to find the room space, which is three times bigger than the room she occupied on the 70th floor. The bed was super big and magnificent with four pillars on the four sides of the edge og the bed, then a cover at the top of the bed, plus a curtain to cover the bed while sleeping, like a royal bed style. There is a sofa in front of bed. It's fitting for her to sit casually while she's getting dressed there. Or for her to relax there reading a book. Wardrobe with antique shape. And the bathroom, as big as her room on the 70th floor, with a big bathtub. Classy sink with all kinds of scents, perfumes. And others are expensive items. She gasped at the sight of it all. But she keeps silent.
Until Ezra excused himself to leave this magnificent and luxurious room. left her alone, stunned. She returned to her room only to sit on the sofa, silently transfixed by what she was facing now. What should she do. Indeed, all women hope and dream, at least once in their lifetime to be able to stay in a luxurious five-star hotel room like this. but she couldn't help, her heart sank. Indecision, anxiety, nervousness, and panic all mixed into one. She thought she didn't deserve this. She grimaced at her solitude.
