Even though Juliet was contracted as a part-time designer at JAX, she was introduced to JAX's design department the next day.
After the Assistant took her to get acquainted with the staff, the Assistant finally took her to Morgan's office.
The door to Morgan's office opened when the Assistant pushed it. The interior was very clean and bright, with a touch of elegant design from the slightest ornament.
Morgan sat at his S-shaped desk, leaned back in his chair with his hands clenched into fists, and had been waiting for her to come.
Having passed the assessment, Morgan's attitude towards Juliet was no longer as disdainful as before, and the aura that radiated from him was much more welcoming.
"Director Morgan." Juliet nodded and greeted him.
Morgan signaled his Assistant and ordered him to leave.
When only two of them were left in the office, Morgan raised his hand to signal to Juliet. "Sit down." His tone was indifferent, and he acted calmly.
"Okay." Juliet stepped forward, sitting directly across from Morgan.
There was a table between the two.
On the wall behind Morgan was a cupboard full of the medals and certificates Morgan had received for the company during his tenure.
Juliet's gaze swept over them, and the admiration for Morgan grew spontaneously.
Morgan really deserves to be JAX's chief design director.
When Juliet withdrew her gaze, the Morgan in front of her looked at her with a smile in her eyes that made Juliet a bit surprised.
Juliet smiled at him and politely waited for Morgan to speak.
Morgan raised an eyebrow and asked with interest, "If you don't mind, can you tell me the reason why you don't continue to be a model?"
Juliet was slightly surprised when she heard that. Morgan's tone wasn't meant to be insulting. At least it didn't offend Juliet.
Thinking of the various experiences in recent years, from the new model that caught the eye when she appeared to end up being a little wild model because no one dared to shade her, Juliet wanted to laugh at herself.
"As your partner, I want to know a little about you. Of course, I can't force you if you don't want to say it," Morgan said again.
"Why don't you ask before signing the agreement?" Juliet asked bluntly but very casually.
The corner of Morgan's eyes twitched awkwardly. Usually, he would have investigated first before signing a contract, but cooperating with Juliet was the big boss's orders. Could he not follow orders?
Morgan shrugged and didn't answer her question.
"Being a model can't support me. I have to eat." Juliet smiled bitterly. "As you can see, no company dares to sign a partnership with me."
Juliet's answer stunned Morgan for a few seconds, and then he smiled.
"So, if you can eat enough, are you interested in returning to your old business? I don't doubt your design skills, but I think you're more talented as a model," Morgan said, looking Juliet up and down, "especially with your perfect body and face."
"Thank you, Director Morgan, for the compliment."
Seeing Juliet no longer intending to answer, Morgan got up, walked around the table, and came to her.
"My purpose in calling you today was to let you accompany me to an exhibition. It can broaden your horizons, and I would like to hear your knowledge of their finished product." Morgan handed Juliet a piece of the exhibitor badge from the office desk.
When Juliet saw the word printed on the exhibition card, her pupils widened involuntarily.
The words' winter new product exhibition & invite VIP' made Juliet suddenly feel God was making a big joke with her.
After a long cycle, her missed opportunity came back another way.
Seeing Juliet stunned and dazed, Morgan asked, "Why? Don't want to go?"
"Of course not!" Juliet immediately took the badge with both hands. "Thank you, Director Morgan, for giving me this opportunity."
The corners of Morgan's lips lifted. "This is no ordinary exhibition. I want to see the summary you drew and send it to me when it's done."
"Okay, I'll try my best." Juliet is thrilled.
Although this is not part of her cooperation, and she is not a subordinate who must obey Morgan but to be able to obtain Morgan's guidance and teaching, this is a rare opportunity and honor for her.
"Go back and get ready. See you at the venue at 6pm," Morgan said as he stepped back into his chair and sat down.
Juliet nodded and said goodbye to him respectfully. "All right, see you tonight, Director Morgan."
After that, she turned around and was about to leave, but after thinking for a while, she felt something was wrong.
"Um, is the JAX representative just the two of us?" she asked hesitantly.
Morgan nodded, and Juliet was even more confused. "Why?"
Juliet thinks that there are so many top designers in the company. So although this exhibition is not the best, it is a good learning opportunity.
Morgan's skin darkened slightly, and his face looked helpless. How could he answer Juliet's question? He simply couldn't question his big boss's decision.
"Other designers don't have time for this. They are chasing time to design new season products." However, Morgan found a not-so-bad excuse.
