"Salar, I think this is the reason that there's a curse on Medaris. I think that the Raven's crimes are coming back to haunt him and innocent people are suffering for it."
"Innocent people have always suffered for it," Salar says grimly. "But that has to stop."
"What are you planning to do in Medaris?" you ask.
Salar looks sheepish. "I don't really know yet," he says. "I haven't gotten that far. I mean, I obviously can't just walk up to the Raven, say I'm Queen Idris's son, and accuse him of murder! That will just get me arrested and killed."
You've got to admit that's true. "Bad plan," you say.
"You're from Medaris," Salar says. "What do you think?"
"I think there's no reason people would believe you," you say. "And I think that this probably has to do with the curse, which is killing innocent people and hurting the city. But I also think that if the Raven has any idea who you are or even thinks it's possible, you'll be in the deepest dungeon he can find as fast as possible."
Salar frowns. "And that won't avenge my mother."
You shake your head. It appears that Salar has put his trust in you impulsively, like a true romantic hero with all a romantic hero's talent for thinking things through. That may provide an opportunity, or the chance for you to help him, or just a chance for things to go terribly wrong.
