After this eventful evening for Luck and Caroline, the 2 of them got back to their home and slept without saying another word, nobody dared to speak after what happened, after their peaceful nap they woke up to a new week, the weekend was over so they had to return back to school, so they both got ready to go for school, even though they wanted to speak on their way to school they still hadn't recovered from the argument they had yesterday so they remained silent, once they reached the school Destiny was waiting for them at the gate of the school
"Good morning guys! How did your training go during the weekend?"
Destiny asked enthusiastically
"Oh man it was very eventful you can say, I don't know if you heard but I got into a fight with Kamira! She is so damn powerful, she launched beams left and right, and the beams were no joke, they produced an explosion almost like half of our school, it was insane!"
Caroline said with a stupid smirk, Destiny was left with a wide-open mouth
"W-Wait you mean you fought our captain?"
Destiny asked with a shocked expression, Caroline thumbed up with both of her arms
'I don't want happened between then but I could tell that Kamira was much more hurt than Caroline'
Luck thought as he heard them talk
"How about you Luck? Did you do anything special this weekend?"
Destiny asked, when he heard the word "special" he immediately thought of the argument he had with Caroline so he delayed answering
"W-Well I trained with the sword and trained my aim with a pistol!"
Luck answered, there wasn't much of a reaction on Caroline's part but Destiny seemed very invested
"Like real gun? Isn't a bit extreme even for a world like that?"
Destiny asked, but Luck didn't have an answer for that, after they told each other their news they were about to head inside the school
"Wait there is something I didn't tell you about"
Luck told them before they leave, the 2 of them turned around to hear what he had to say
"Yesterday I was revealed to be a Divine"
Luck told them, Caroline was frozen in shock
"What is a divine?"
Destiny innocently wondered
"Destiny remember the time I told you I have an affinity for every single element? The person who has an affinity for everything is called a divine"
Caroline explained to Destiny, Destiny was overwhelmed by what she heard
"So you are telling me that the people I have to compare to are both divine and the other is pyromaniac?"
"Pyromaniac? I wouldn't call myself that"
Floga said as he walked toward them
"S-Sorry Floga, I didn't mean to insult you..."
Destiny said but Luck cut her off
"You don't have to apologize to him"
Luck said with a serious look that pissed Floga off
"Nobody is talking to you, so don't speak up Luck"
Floga replied, Caroline then created a mana zone
"Why did you do that Caroline?"
Destiny asked, she was a bit scared, Caroline didn't answer she simply punched Floga and Luck
"You 2 are acting like little girls, always getting mad at one another, man up and solve your problems like men"
Caroline said, but her intention was different, she wanted Luck and Floga to bond by making her the bad guy
"You will regret it you bitch!"
Floga said as he launched himself with fire at Caroline, but before he could get closer to her Luck stopped him
"Let me go you bastard!"
Floga yelled but Luck didn't let go
"I won't let you go until you calm down"
"Calm down? She punched us both you idiot, but of course, you don't have a problem getting hit do you? I mean all your life you never fought back!"
Floga said, Luck then released Floga and told him
"You said that I would help you fight Caroline once, remember? Fighting with a fogged mind like that won't work, while fighting Caroline we have to be precise and think sharply"
Floga smiled when he heard that
"You could have told me this from the beginning"
Floga said, the 2 boys then walked to a corner and began to strategize
"Caroline you are awesome! Even after hitting them, you managed to make them work together like they were kids"
Destiny said with a big smile of happiness
"I didn't do anything! Luck was the one that managed to convince him to work together"
Caroline replied humbly
"Talking together is good and all but are you sure you can handle both of them at once?"
Destiny asked, she was a bit worried about Caroline
"Were you deaf? I told you I can handle Kamira so Luck and Floga won't be a problem"
"We are ready!!!"
Luck yelled, the 2 boys then slowly approached Caroline, Caroline was ready for an attack, Luck then created a sword with the element of creation, he then charged at Caroline, Luck tried to slash and slash but Caroline was deflecting the attacks with her bare hands, after some attack she grabbed Luck's sword and pulled him closer, she then grabbed Luck and threw him away, before Luck could hit the ground Floga had already begun his attack he punched and kicked but nothing could break past Caroline's defense, he then used his power to launch a huge fire wave at Caroline but she took it as if nothing happened and punched Floga on his stomach, Floga was launched meters away from the hit
"Come on boys you need to do more than that to beat me!"
Caroline said to piss them off, but it didn't work, Luck and a clone of him attacked Caroline
'What the hell? his clone also has the same feel as him, so I can't tell which one is the real one'
Caroline thought as she watched Luck run up to her, the 2 Lucks then attacked her from both her right and left side, in a state of shock Caroline used the element of destruction to create 2 explosions from both her right arm and left arm, the 2 explosions were directed on the 2 Lucks but when she saw the results of the attack she was left shocked, both Lucks were no more and before she could react Luck gently placed his blade on the back of Caroline
"Got you!"
Luck said with a sweet smile, Caroline left out a big laughed
"Haha! you came a long way from before Luck, your growth doesn't stop surprising me"
Caroline replied with a smile
"Turns out your stupid plan did work, I have to give you that"
Floga admitted, Destiny was smiling the whole time, it was very refreshing seeing everyone being friendly with each other, but while standing there being happy, a thought hit her
'Caroline managed to make them work together after knowing them for less than a month so why couldn't I make them smile together like this? I guess I can never become Hope'
Destiny thought as they all walked together inside the school
'Luck is scary, He learned to use the elements not long ago and he can create a sword and create 2 clones while being invisible'
Caroline thought as she walked near Luck, the 4 of them then entered the classroom, they were of course delayed, but it was fine since Gnomon was the one teaching, or at least that was what they thought
"Why are you 4 late? You better have a good excuse or else I will have you punished!"
He said, so normally they took turns explaining
"I got a bit lost on my way here sir, I'm still new here!"
Caroline said
"Valid"
Gnomon said
"As for me I had to take care of my grandma, she is old and she can't really shop by herself so I had to go shop for her, I'm really sorry sir this won't happen again!"
Destiny said
"Valid'
Gnomon said again
"You know teach, I had a very good night before so I slept late and didn't wake up"
Floga told him, Gnomon glared at him
"Invalid you can stay in the halls"
Gnomon said, Floga slowly walked outside
"Sorry teacher Gnomon I was eating breakfast"
Luck said while bowing his head, Gnomon didn't say a word he just kept on staring at him
"Yes sir"
Luck replied as he went to accompany Floga, the 2 of them looked at each other
"Want to head outside?"
Floga asked, Luck nodded so they went behind the school to rest
"You know Luck, sometimes I feel bad about what happened back there but you know I can't forgive you, right?"
Floga said as he took out a cigar, he lighted up with his power and took a puff
"I know, I can't forgive me either"
Luck replied as he looked at the sky, Floga was surprised by Luck's words but didn't question them
"So what are you going to do with this agency? For me it was really random and to be honest I don't get a choice either, they are forcing me to work there at least 3 years or they will put me in a cell for thrice that much"
Floga told him while blowing smoke at the sky
"Money obviously, everybody knows my relationship with my mother, I constantly have to be at the top of the school for her to give me money to support myself economically, but if I work for this agency they will give me a month about as much money makes my mother in 3, so I see it as fair, also I can't quit now since Kamira discovered that I'm a divine"
Luck's words shocked Floga once again
"Yea it's very hard getting used to that, you are a divine now"
Floga said, some minutes passed by and nonene said a word
"Hey Floga I wanted to ask you something"
"Shot"
"You told me that Hope could have been a mana user, why are you suspecting it?"
Luck asked him
"You see, she always had some wild ideas and was stupidly strong and smart, she didn't rely on anyone ever and she was basically top-notch on anything she was doing, so I figured it was because of mana, I developed my mana a bit sooner than natural and when I did Hope began to act different, she seemed more overprotective with me and she was very restricted about where we would go and what time we would have done something, so I suspect she was a high-level mana user"
Floga said, with a serious look, his cigar was almost done
'Makes sense'
Luck thought but he still was a bit skeptical
"But if she was a mana user why didn't she say anything to us?"
Luck asked with a sad expression
"To protect us of course, you idiot"
Floga said with an annoyed expression, he then threw down his cigar and stepped over
"I'm going to buy something to drink from the café"
Floga said as he began to walk away
"I will stay here"
Luck told him
"I didn't ask you, idiot"
Floga said as he left
'Come on! And when I thought we became a bit closer he curses me once again'
Luck thought, he was a bit disappointed with the results of the conversation but he had a lot of questions about Kamira
'Why did she choose me? Did she know about Hope? She is definitely hiding something from me so I will have to figure it out today'
Luck was suspicious about Kamira
'Wait with my phone I can contact Kamira'
He thought, he then quickly picked up the phone and called her, the line was silent but after a little Kamira answered
"Kamira here, who is reporting?"
Kamira's voice was heard from the phone
"Hello Captain, once I arrive there I would like us to have a little chat if possible"
Luck said, but Kamira refused
"I'm sorry Luck but today we are hosting a meeting with the leaders of the countries, and you 4 will also have to accept, those people are very important and some of them may also have hints about the elemental stones so we must attend it, the meeting will start at 3 P.M even if it means to skip school, DO IT, you can't afford to miss it"
