"Have fun kids! Don't be back too late", Joey teased.
Carter grunted, annoyed by his brother's light teasing.
"We're not kids and we won't", Carter mumbled monotonously.
Kokomi stood near the brothers, amused by their conversation while leaning on her motorbike. After the brothers had stopped bickering with each other, Kokomi glanced at her black wristwatch, got up from her bike, and interrupted them.
"Guess high time we make a move on. Don't worry sir, I'll return your brother in one piece. Unless, you wanna pick which piece of course", Kokomi brings her face close to Joey's and smiled.
Joey felt a shiver go down his spine. He put his hands up in a defense motion and stepped back from Kokomi's close contact.
"No, no, you'll return his whole self. ALIVE!", Joey panicked.
"Hehe, just a joke", Kokomi giggled.
Joey placed his hand by his chest, an expression of shock adorning his face. The silence was broken by Carter's laugh. He couldn't hold it in and loudly burst into laughter. He had never heard his brother tremble before. He then felt a gentle tug on his shirt sleeve.
"Let's go,". He heard Kokomi said gently.
She guided him towards her bike and helped him get on it. Kokomi smirked and slyly waved goodbye to Joey.
"Now, hold on tightly to my waist, Carter", Kokomi ordered.
Carter blushed a deep shade of red.
"Wait, what? Are you fine with that?", Carter nervously inquired.
"I've promised your brother to return you in one piece, didn't I? Your safety is top priority to me now", Kokomi explained.
Carter hesitated again.
"Unless you want to return in pieces?", Kokomi continued with a threat.
Carter immediately wrapped his arms securely around Kokomi's waist.
"AY YO! Stop talking and get moving. You're making me nervous", Joey called out.
"All right, all right, we're going!", Carter replied.
Kokomi giggled and starts her bike. The sound of the loud engine pumping with energy as if it had been recently serviced by a mechanic made Carter's heart start pumping to its beat. He held on tightly to Emily as they headed off toward town.
Off to town, they go.
"THIS IS AMAZING!", Carter yells, still holding onto Kokomi.
He could feel the gentle breeze murmuring past his ears like an echo of soft howling. He felt the wind making a mess of his hairstyle that Joey took 30 minutes to make.
"I KNOW RIGHT!", Kokomi replied, her eyes still fixed on the road in front of her.
Carter experienced something new. The feeling of excitement when one rode on a motorbike. He kept his head up, facing forward as he felt the wind soaring past his cheeks and through his hair as the two newly acquainted friends headed towards town.
