Zeryon felt a wave of confusion as he tried to comprehend what the old man was saying. He had always known that he was different from the other demons, but to hear that he might not even be a demon anymore was a shock to his system.
"What do you mean you have no idea what I am?" Zeryon asked, his voice tinged with desperation.
The old man shook his head. "I can't say for sure, but I sense something different about you. Something that I can't quite put my finger on."
Zeryon frowned, his mind racing with a million different thoughts and questions. If he wasn't a demon, then what was he? And how was he going to survive in the Underworld, let alone make it to the surface?
