Chapter 13 - Plan B 1 (Gina)

The Flames blazed in the vast endless land of darkness. Black smoke billowed high. The river of blood flowed slowly, and thorny trees surrounded the area. She was not sure where she was, her legs were unable to walk as if they were glued to the ground.

"Giby...Giby..." a deep, sinister voice called out.

"Who is there?"

Gina shouted before sitting up, gasping for air. She felt like she had lost half her soul. Her heart was racing like a galloping horse. Her face was pale, and she was sweating profusely.

"What place is it actually? Everything looks real," she wishpered.

It felt like she was about to call her mother or her sister Modesty for a soothing hug. But she was far too self-assured. She couldn't help but clench harder her fists.

A split second later, she realized she was in her room when her eyes looked around. The room was dominated by red color, with knick-knacks hanging from the ceiling, a study table facing the window, and a two-story bed she sat on.

Her room was the most lonely place for her when she wanted to feel free. And the most annoying place for her since she had to share it with her sister, Modesty.

"Oh, it was just a dream. As usual—" she whispered to herself.

She took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. She did it several times until she felt more at ease.

"Dreams are just dreams. They don't have any power to hurt me." Gina whispered to strengthen herself.

She looked at the alarm clock on the table. The time was six o'clock. She had gotten a bad dream even though it was not yet night. She had frequent nightmares about that dark place.

The ringing of the phone drew Gina's attention. She then checked it out. There was a Zeryon Drax live notification a few minutes ago.

"I'll never watch another of Zeryon's videos again. Never!"

She left the phone on the bed. Then she buried her face in the pillows.

Although her mouth said no, her heart said otherwise. She was still interested in seeing the live video, so she sat down again and took out her phone.

Her fingers began to scroll across the screen before tapping on the play button. Zeryon appeared without face-paint. Only his eye color was the same because it maybe had been tattooed.

Gina's heart skipped a beat when she heard her name being called. She never expected Zeryon to publicly apologize for his behavior. It turned out he wasn't as bad as she thought.

As the video reached it's last second, she sighed deeply and put her phone down.

"Why would he do such thing? Is it possible that he likes me as well? No way. That's not possible. It's just too soon and he doesn't know who I am. Perhaps he is a good person. That's why." Gina thought to herself.

"But...it's actually cute, oh my goodness!"  Gina plopped down on the bed, and then she rolled over as she felt butterflies fluttering in her stomach.  Her face was full of smiles, her cheeks were flushed red.

"What to do now...?" Gina patted his hot cheeks. She admitted to feeling a different kind of warmth flowing through her body. She seemed absolutely happy.

She couldn't believe her mood change instantly only because of him.

The young woman was eager to see him again. Her desire to attend the art academy was going stronger. She immediately got out of bed and walked over to her study table.

She stuffed her high school graduation letter and other files into his bag with glee. The next day will be a fun and challenging day for her. He must prepared the plan B.

The door opened. Modesty entered the room, then approached Gina.

"What are you doing?" she asked.

"None of your business." Gina pulled her bag when Modesty wanted to look into the bag.

"Hm...suspicious." Modesty squint.

"So what? Want to complain to Mom?" Gina stared sharply at the girl.

"I don't have time to report you. I'm too busy." Modesty crawled up on the stairs to the second level bed.

Gina paid attention to every modesty movement. The busyness she can see was just she lay in the bed while tingering phone. Her sister made her feel amused.

"Silly girl," Gina whispered.

"I hear you."

"I'm not talking to you though."

"Why are you so edgy, Gina? What is my fault? Like I'm not doing anything." Modesty put her phone on the bed and turned her eyes to Gina.

Sure enough. Gina couldn't answer her sister's question. She asked herself, it was her sister made a mistake or she actually vented her frustration on the little girl who knew knothing.

The only mistake was just her sister had a lucky fate. She could do what she likes. She could choose and got whatever she want. She was not locked at home like a bird in a cage. Her mother seemed love her sister more than her. That made her feel really angry.

Meanwhile, she had to bury all of her desires, her dreams, and her feelings. She had to share everything she likes for her sister. She even must change her favorite color to red only as a piertening of her frustration. And she forgot how she used to like soft pastel colors. Whether it was a jealousy, but she wondered was it all fair?

Gina stepped from the study table and flung herself onto the bed, then said, "Never mind. There's no point in discussing it anymore. It won't change anything."

"That's up to you," said Modesty.

Gina took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down. She fixed the pillow position then her hand reached for the phone which lying on the bed.

Her feelings was up and down only in a day. The only thing that made her heart feels calm was just by looking at the video from the illusion artist and her plan for tomorrow.
