Al stood motionless in the center of the bar.
"Well done Al. You've outdone yourself." He cackled devilishly
He then slowly began to tread towards the door when a bullet caming flying through the window. It whizzed by his head and into the wall behind him.
"What in the Hells." He said
He reached for his six shooter. Once he had it pulled out, another bullet came through the window.
"Come outta there! This is the law!" A deputy said
Al kicked the door out letting the bright desert sun flood into the dimly lit room. Right as the door flew open, a third bullet flew right towards Al. It hit him square in the skull, exiting as cleanly as it entered. Al fell to the ground, as dead as before. Mere seconds later he regained control of his body and rose from the dead.
"So, I can still die. But I don't stay dead. Okay I can work with that." Al joked to himself.
As he resurrected, the Deputy who was standing on the other side of the street nearly dropped dead from shock.
"Holy Gods. What the Hells that thing." The deputy said
Al then quickly pulled out his revolver and fired a solitary shot. The bullet struck the deputy dead in the left eye sending him flying to the ground. Once the corpse had hit the dusty floor all hell broke out.
From every direction none to man the sound of horses clomping could be heard. The sound of windows smashing could be heard from all over as townsfolks with guns tool aim at all. Al slowly glanced to his left and saw that a posse of deputies had rode up to his right was a view none dissimilar.
Al instantly went into gunalinger mode firing off the next five rounds in the chamber with rapid succession. One deputy just jumping off his horse had been hit three times before falling dead. The other two hit another deputy in the heart.
A man in a window fired his rifle hitting dead in the chest. Al stumbled back a bit. Slowly crumpling to the ground. Once again he was dead. He once then resurrected grabbing his other revolver and returned fire. He hit the window shooter dead in the throat, shattering his Adam's apple.
The other shooters began firing, Al crouched and dove for cover sustaining a hit in his leg as he landed. Al fired three more shots at a different window shooter missing one shot and striking him in the head.
The next two shots he fired struck a deputy in the groin and stomach.
He reloaded each revolver quickly as the bullets began to reduce his cover to dust. Al jumped out from behind cover firing shots in both directions.
The deputies and the five remaining sharpshooters in the windows returned fire. Al took two sniper shots in the chest, and six shots in other places on his body. He stayed up firing shots. Out of the twelve shots he fired he struck seven targets killing three of them.
Al once again fell lifeless to the ground. This time it was as if all of time had ceased. The deputies and townsfolk held their firearms with a baby's grip. They were on the razors edge of fleeing in terror. Once Al's body began to resurrect once again his attackers fled in terror.
Men jumped on their horses and rushed away. As Al stood completely up he cackled to himself.
"HAHAHAHA. This is going to be easy."
Just then he was hit by twelve shots in the back in rapid succession. He fell to the ground dead. It was only when he began to resurrect did he notice the perpetrator.
Standing about twenty feet away from him was an older bald man with two empty six shooters. On the man's chest was a shiny golden badge with the word
"Sheriff"
Engraved on it.
"Well if it isn't the sheriff of this small town. Who are you? Hadley?" Al asked jokingly.
"Sheriff Hadley is no longer with us." The sheriff said back
"Ah, someone killed him too? Ya know I was the one who snuffed out the sheriff before him. I planned on killing Hadley too. But I never got around to doin it."
"Sheriff Hadley died in his sleep. No street rodent did him in."
"What's your name stranger. I want to add one more sheriff to my body count. I like to know the names of the men I kill."
"Names Arn. Your worst nightmare."
Both of them looked into each other's cold eyes. Sheriff Arn quickly loaded two shots into his pistol. Both men stared each other down as a cool breeze flew through the town, shutting the windows and kicking up dust.
Both men then swiftly drew their weapons but Arn was quicker to the draw. He got off two shots striking both firearms out of Al's hands. Al, now being completely disarmed, stood helpless. The sheriff dove to one of the corpses of his deputies. He got a used revolver and shot Al straight through the neck. Al once again fell to the ground dead.
"You're...you're good." Al said as he was getting up.
Sheriff Arn stood above him with the pistol aimed at his head.
"Yep."
Then he pulled the trigger.
