Chapter 92 - Grudges

Karl walked in the room. Freya laid in the middle of bed, unconscious. Her hair spread across the pillow. Her body still. Her color pale. She had been put in clean clothes. Blood, hers and dragon's wiped away. Every other wound healed except the wound where the dragon had clawed her at her waist. Audra sat on the chair beside her bed, her clothes the same as before covered in dark spots of red blood that even Karl wasn't sure was hers only, and if it was then he was concerned for her. She remained still, eyes closed, head on her folded arms. One of her hands covered in crusts of blood at places held Freya's cold hand. Both of the girls were silent and frozen in their positions. They both looked dead. Karl walked closer towards them but Audra didn't even move to look up at him so he remained standing at his spot looking at them for a second and then walked out of the door. He was just here to get the report.
