Freya and Ian had returned back in the hall and they remained far from each other, on opposite ends of the hall. Audra and Karl both had noticed it. Another thing Karl had noticed was that the two girls had gone silent. They seemed flustered yet sad. The party had suddenly lost all the excitement. Trumpets began blowing and the crowd reassembled towards the center of the hall facing the dais. Marcello and Ian both stepped up the dais followed by Harin climbing behind them dressed in plain off white robes. The crowd stared at them waiting for the ceremony to start. The chandelier crystals sent reflecting lights upon them.
Their faces showed no expressions serious and stoic. Harin raised a sword walking towards Marcello who stepped on the stair lower than Nicole's. Marcello knelt down where he stood.
