Audra followed behind Nicole inside the cottage and dreaded the look on Vanessa's and Karl's face. Betrayal or surprise she couldn't decipher. Nicole just stood beside her smirking and waving at the two.
"What is he doing here?" Karl turned to Audra questioning. Whereas Vanessa stared at Nicole assessing him. Audra had seen the two together before but she wasn't sure what went on between the two. Whether they were enemies or friends.
"How did you get here?" Vanessa was direct.
"Aren't you glad to see me alive?" Nicole raised his eyebrows taking a spot on the couch plopping down. His eyes remained fixated on the trio that looked at him with questioning looks but he was somewhere far away, hours before.
