But they felt they had to say sorry, and when they did, she ignored them.
The other guys mind-linked Alan, 'Your cross, now,' while the other men stared at Elizabeth with smiles. 'Hope you could carry!'
James' eyes continued to linger over Eleanor. Jordan was also staring at him intently as he turned his head away and when their eyes met, It was as if to caution him from trying anything.
"What about your age? And some information about yourself?" The discussion was continued by their mother, trying to get to know her new daughter-in-law.
"I'm 21 years of age. I dance for a living," Eleanor cheerfully informed the older woman.
Everyone stopped at the age she had indicated for herself, "I have a little sister who is 17," she continued without noticing how everyone tensed in their chair. James already knew her age, and so he was looking at her like Elizabeth was doing.
Alan was 33 years old. Even though he was the Beta and a werewolf, he couldn't help but feel uneasy. He started to worry that his mate would want his little cousin instead of him because he was twelve years older than she was.
Alan could feel himself getting angry, let alone his wolf, Scott.
"So since you've found your mother, it would only be fair if I go home, and since I didn't come here myself, James could probably drive me home,"
Under his neck, Alan could feel his rage building. His muscles clenched, and his face flushed red.
James forcefully shook his head as he observed Alan stiffening his chin and fingers. He didn't want to be attacked by him again.
Simon advised Alan to control himself and leave James alone so that no wolfing actions would happen in front of the human, "Maybe Alan, perhaps would drop you off." Simon quickly suggested.
"No! Who the hell do you think you are, exactly?" It appeared as though she had intended to throw something at Simon when she said that, which surprised him. Well! It didn't surprise him because he was the source of her "stay"-related agitation.
Elizabeth joined Eleanor in her laughter as she proceeded to gush about how James was the nicest of all of them.
Alan became crazy, and James became fearful as a result.
Alan yelled as he stormed out, "I will take you home tomorrow morning."
He walked back to the room he was occupying while Eleanor stayed in his and pounded on the door.
Everyone could see he was angry and hurt, even though they didn't share his feelings with him.
One by one, they all started to depart, and James ran away from the scene, not wanting to be the last to leave.
Till it was time for supper, the two women talked incessantly. Elizabeth could feel the young girl becoming at ease around her as they all sat around the table.
But as the men entered, she grew uptight, and when Alan arrived, she displayed that expression of anger and stared at the food on her plate.
As they ate, everyone was silent. Each man understood that it would be their fault if she rejected Alan. If only they hadn't initially abducted her or subjected her to torture.
"So, where is the other girl that you kidnapped?"Eleanor suddenly started to inquire about Lolly.
Daniel said with a smile, "she's gone," despite not understanding how women perceive the world.
That appeared to have infuriated her even more. "Reeeeeaaaaallly? You people kept me here while you let her go? Why could you leave her but not me when we were both the dancers? Even worse, she went with one of you, leaving me alone to dance. I got tortured by you folks." Her voice strained as she shouted at them.
"Fair enough, the first and second days were the only ones we tortured you. And we even carried you upstairs to tend to your wound. You didn't get mistreated by us," Daniel attempted to correct her while gently gesturing to calm her down.
"Nurture my injury? That wound on my shoulder got caused by you guys! I'm asking Alfredo to forbid each of you from entering the club. You are all insane. I'm sorry, lady. You all require medical attention. My shoulders were bit by this one here!" She spoke the final phrase while lowering her top so that everyone could see the mark Alan had left after marking her.
Alan, who was still clenching his jaw and was sure that his gums were about to bleed, was mind-linked by everyone, "Sorry. We are sorry things turned out this way."
Alan got up and fled because he was unable to bear it any longer. He could feel eyes on him from everyone, and his back grew heavy.
Even though it was getting dark, his mother and her companion were still discussing their hobbies.
There was no other female in the house that their mother could converse with but Diana. She also felt very alone after Diana left to visit her pack in China. She was thrilled to see Eleanor, but she was dying within since her sons had ruined their relationship with her.
She decided to let Alan calm down on his own, so she let him depart so as not to enrage him or his wolf.
Eleanor bid the older woman good night and went to bed as midnight approached. She couldn't wait to get home the following day.
