Chapter 15 - An attraction Eleanor can’t explain (Part 1)

She heard her door open as she rolled over in her sleep. Alan had visited her in her room. Every time she dozed off, he would do it. He would observe her napping, even though he fought the urge to tear her clothes into pieces.

She wasn't as soundly asleep this time, though. And as the door clacked, she sat up on the bed. Alan rushed to her side because she wanted to scream. Too quickly, it nearly scared her.

His large hands encircled her lips. Alan released his hold on her as she strained to open her mouth.

He didn't want to make her dislike him even more.

An aroma first caught his nostrils at that point. The stench was nearly as overpowering, and he sighed internally.

He continued to smell her arousal and inhaled deeply. It only made him want to force her into the mattress, make her call out his name, lick her all over, and bring her to her knees so she could beg for more.

Scott struggled to give Alan power because he was unable to control himself. Alan warned him to be calm and let him manage the situation because if he did anything foolish, she wouldn't give them the chance to pursue her.

That appeared to calm him down, even though he wanted to please her.

"I came for some clothing," Alan said as he rose from the bed. "This is my room."

As though entering for the first time, she took in her surroundings. She never thought the room was Alan's.

Before he pounced on her, he needed to leave.

Alan patiently waited before entering his closet. After observing her slight nod, which appeared to indicate that he required her permission to enter.

He left the room, almost like he raced out of it, after cramming some clothing into one of the luggage bags.

On the other hand, Eleanor took a deep breath and tried to figure out why she felt so comfortable in his arms.

Why did she feel an indescribable rush of pleasure once more? Eleanor's stomach was filled with butterflies as a chill ran through her spine.

She had been ecstatic about returning home the following day before he hurriedly left the room.

She couldn't help but get reminded of how she would disappear from his life as if he had never known her.

Then, she got overcome by another emotion. Her breathing became hurried, and her chest began to heave.

She hastily reclined on the bed and violently threw the duvet over her body. She was so furious that she was out of breath.

It was as though she got marked by his touch. She remembered how he had bitten her before. The same emotion overwhelmed her.

Alan stepped firmly on the tiled steps with each step as he descended them. He had still not gotten over the fact that his family's impatience prevented him and his wolf from being with their mate.

What was worse, then? Having her sleep only a short distance away, and that too in his room—where she rightfully belonged—even though they couldn't sleep in the same room.

He was aware that her scent would linger in the room for some time, reminding him how he had to watch her walk out on them as if they had never existed.

It would have been simpler for him if she had also been a werewolf.

He and Scott both recognized that the look she gave them was not her own. They had her marked, and she got compelled to him for that reason.

She appeared to be afraid of him. When his palms touched her mouth, she widened her eyes. Scott's heart broke when she tried to free herself, and Alan's heart also broke as he felt the hair on her skin, standing when his palm touched her back.

His brother, Simon, called him for the fourth time as soon as his foot hit the last flight of steps. He was already lost in concentration and had no idea that his brother was calling him from the room.

"You look disturbed," Simon remarked, earning him a stern look from Alan, indicating he was enraged the more.

"Whose fault is that?" His voice sounded loud as he grabbed the bottle of water from Simon.

"Both of us are at fault, equally. You needed to reveal who Eleanor was to everyone. But since you remained silent, I had to inform them.

How on earth did you stay so composed after meeting your soul mate!" Simon yelled as well; he was determined to stop Alan from acting as though he was similarly innocent since he and the others had made mistakes.

Alan gave him a silent stare after he heard Simon speak. His eyes quickly transitioned from hazel to dark brown, which alerted Simon of the internal war Alan was having.
