After the meeting had ended, Alan walked straight into his office without even checking up on Eleanor. And as the door shut, she felt the sharp electric jolt that shot through her spine. She deserved it.
Perhaps she should apologize. She found herself walking toward his door. Once she got there, she contemplated if he would be happy to see her or if he was not in the mood to entertain any visitors. What mood was he in?
But what could go wrong if something went wrong? a breakup? Alan would never break up with her, she shook her head.
She felt so entitled, and she was shocked at where it came from. She was so confident in herself that when she noticed it, she almost fell to the ground laughing. Alan wouldn't break up with her? The man probably was rethinking his idea to be with her. Well, she didn't care.
