Scarlet was excited when Eleanor told her about her interview. Both their hearts leaped for joy when they talked about it, both imagining how their lives could change for the better.
Eleanor carried Jamie into her arms as she watched it jump for attention. "You keep growing every single day," she remarked, playing with its fur.
"I keep telling you, that's not a dog, it is a wolf," Scarlet once again informed her but Eleanor laughed, thinking her little sister was playing pranks on her.
Throughout the night as Scarlet slept, Eleanor turned in every position and on every side of the bed.
The old bed crept with noise as she shook it at every turn.
Her worry was laced with both excitement and questions. What if she was interviewed and because of her lack of education and qualification, she was asked to come back later or dismissed?
