Alan's phone beeped, and his mate's name was displayed on the screen. A big smile spread across his face, and he showed his phone to everyone seated around him.
"Well, while you guys are bickering over who is messing you all up, my mate is longing to see me again. Wow, my beautiful fiancée!" Alan chuckled as he rose from the couch. His gaze was fixed on James.
More like teasing him.
"As if! The text read, 'Alan, you better get your ass here, I know you're back home!' Don't make it appear as if..." Alan cut Andrew off before he could complete what he was saying.
"Isn't that what I just told you all? Different words, but the same meaning. I'll see you all later." Alan was still happy when he said that, and he quickly left the meeting for his fiancée's place.
"Why didn't you tell me you were back home? I missed you," Eleanor admitted, which warmed his heart.
