"Please listen to me," Alan pleaded and the look in her eyes only saddened him. She looked like she was considering running away from him- from the country itself.
He could read her thoughts and none of the things running through her mind was going to favor him.
"Please go away," she didn't exactly scream and she sounded exhausted.
She was exhausted.
"Fine, I will stand by the door. I won't come near you, I won't approach you. Is that okay?" Alan offered and Eleanor eyed him suspiciously.
"I- I- I…" hell! What was he going to say to her? What could he possibly say that would make her understand him? He didn't exactly think about that, he just wanted to see her and assure her she was safe with him.
Safe? Yes, she was!
"I won't harm you. You are my mate," he simply assured her but her reply got his heart to drop immediately into his stomach.
