'The cries echoed loudly in my ears, and all I could do was position my palms to cover my hearing, but nothing was working; why the hell was this happening?, I had only watched one movie!'
She didn't even notice when she rolled off the bed, finding a place to hide herself. She closed her eyes as she heard footsteps, assuming that was what they were. Her door gently opened, allowing the light from the passage to reflect in her room. She trembled when she felt the bed dig in due to a newfound weight.
"Do you have any idea I can smell you plus your fear" A fading voice said, as if it had no gender; she didn't believe in ghosts, but she wasn't going to complain or fight if her pals claimed it was real.
That if she made it out of this dream alive, she wasn't even sure it was a dream; she just hoped it was.
"Come out!" The fading voice commanded.
This was her room, no one had the right to order her.
She couldn't process what happened next but she felt the pain when an unknown force pushed her making her forehead hit the wood that kept her bed standing, it bled but she cared less about what pain it felt.
The force didn't stop until she felt she sat down on the floor unable to move, her eyes were shot tightly, she wouldn't open it no matter what.
"Open!, I am here to keep you company even though it would eventually be the other way around" the voice added.
'Was it trying to be sarcastic?,well it was failing'
Her eyes involuntarily opened and behold something that made her heart stop.
'Holy moly!'.
She wanted to scream out loud but it was as if she had lost her voice, she wanted her tears to run out but they seem to have been tired from yesterday's movie.
It was a head, a cut of bleeding head on her bed, it had no ears, the skull was visible, it even had a hole in its forehead, the eyes out of its place and everyone knew how bleeding sights freaked her.
"Please go away, I don't want this dream anymore, please, you are just a movie I watched,I just want to get over this period, please just go away" the tears finally came rushing out as her lost voice came tiredly.
"Do you want me out that bad?" The voice asked and if not for its fading she could recognize the mock that laced it's sentence.
"What do you want from me?" She asked and the thing chuckled, it was creepy.
"Was expecting that earlier, you want to help retrieve something" it said and she looked up into its so called eye.
"What?" She asked.
"You would know later on, and I assume you know who... I mean what I am" it asked and she looked up confused.
"Huh?"
"The movie you watched Is it" it cleared her doubts.
"The villain?" She asked timidly?.
And she saw the skeleton like lips curl up.
"If you say so".
A large wind found its way into her room and in a twinkle of an eye she met herself somewhere that wasn't her room neither was it her home, nor her school, nor her country, it was a bloody pool.
She was about to let out a scream when the thing spoke
"Don't even think about it, you will wake the dead bodies up and I am pretty sure you don't want that" the head said and she shut her mouth immediately.
"What are we doing here?" She asked as she tried to look away, this was a war field, dead bodies around, scattered flesh, she wanted to puke but she was afraid she did wake the bodies up, swallowing her saliva she looked at the head which seemed to be taking comfort in her misfortune.
"We are here for my body" it said and she looked around wondering if it was stupid, how was she supposed to identify its own body.
"It's pierced with a different kind of arrow, just the chest will do, i can smell the other parts and also the heart was removed with a sword that has engravings of a dragon" it concluded and she nodded as she looked around the silent place, taking small steps.
"Swish" she stepped on something and with that her face went pale, lifting her right leg she saw something, it was in a shape of an intestine not like she listened in science class but she had just stepped on it, she couldn't hold it in anymore and poured out whatever content was inside her.
Trying to calm herself, something shiny reflected in her eyes and she brought her hands to cover her eyes, looking towards her she found a particular sword stuck in something, not far away from it was another thing.
"I found it!" She screamed and waved her hands looking for the head but it was no where to be found, her voice stuck in her throat for a minute but then she heard a chuckle and she had no idea why but she was relieved.
She had thought it had left her.
"It is my body" A smooth white soothing masculine voice said, She was stunned and turned to look behind her.
There she found something new, a tall figure with a sturdy chest, she could see his muscles peeking from the torn shirt but then something scared her, the arrow that was stuck in the left side of his chest near his heart, noticing her line of direction, the no longer 'it', harshly pulled out the arrow and blood spilled from the open wound, She cringed.
Looking up at his face she saw it was dirty and still had blood on it but his beautiful black hair caught her attention, it was silky and looked smooth to touch, his eyes were deep blue and she could see he had a great face.
"Do you perhaps find me pleasing to the eyes?" He asked and she looked up.
"Can I go now?" She asked and it made him smile.
"No" was his curt reply.
"Aren't I done already?" She asked and the man shook his head.
"You aren't" He said and she looked up to him.
"You have enough power already why do you need me?" She asked.
"Same thing your father said then but he didn't mind letting you go" He thought to himself.
"I will think of when to let you go" was the last word he said as he wrapped his hand around her tiny waist and once again the wind took them away.
