It was in the morning at day break that she had tiredly walked towards the carriage that was taking them, it was tiring, she had spent the whole night taking lessons from Jazmine.
"you look pleasing to the eyes" A male's voice commented and Lily scoffed, she didn't bother looking to know who it was, the moron of a man seemed to take delight in her misfortune.
"shall we go?" He asked in a gentle man's manner as he brought out his palm for Lily to hold in other for her to climb into the carriage, Lily only smiled as she got into the carriage herself, declining Sebastian's offer, Sebastian had returned the smile and his already stretched palm was curled into a ball, turning back he looked at Jazmine.
"Sabina had come to look for you during the little time you left, the first week of war, she seems to be oblivious to the fact you went to war, so I only told her you were on a business trip" she said.
"do you plan to use her any longer?" Jazmine asked and Sebastian only smiled.
"she seems professional in her poke nosing business, she shall be dismissed my dear sister, so worry not about who comes to the mansion" Sebastian replied and then he entered the carriage smoothly.
The coach man whipped the horses and then they started moving, servants and guards following behind with horses too.
Lily looked out the window during the journey trying to find out new things but most of the places they had passed were more of bushes, her thoughts drifting to what had happened yesterday on the dinning table, she couldn't help but think of what the siblings were talking about.
She had been struggling with the cutting/slicing of her meat when Sebastian looked at her and with a smile he had said, "it isn't fully cooked", dropping the cutlery immediately she spat out the contents in her mouth, no wonder she had chewed and chewed, she had drank a mouth full of water before she swallowed it.
The man as usual had laughed, "she isn't human?" Jazmine had made a sentence more than asking a question.
"She's something interesting" he chuckled.
Lily back in the present was lost in thoughts.
she knew he (Sebastian) wasn't ordinary, at least from the look of things, it was what she took notice of first, she wondered if Jazmine was the same too as she was a sister to Sebastian, and then Jazmine question the other night seemed to have cleared her thoughts, Jazmine wasn't a human.
She had stared deep Into her red eye balls yesterday.
"can I ask the things I would be doing for you?, so I can do them as fast as possible" Lily striked up a conversation to which Sebastian smiled.
"was she pretending?, or had she really lost her memories" Sebastian had thought.
"I know not the kind of things I shall come across" was his only reply and the journey turned silent again.
They arrived at the destination after a very long silent ride, Sebastian didn't really say anything and Lily could only care less.
The coachman had come to open the carriage door and this time Sebastian came down and stretched his palm once again for Lily to take, giving a hard look, Lily could only comply , placing her small hands into that of Sebastian's, she climbed down and there was Sebastian who had a small smile.
Smiling back at him, Sebastian led the way, his hands behind him as he walked lazily, somehow every of his steps were majestic, not minding him Lily looked forward to the place they were heading and somehow it looked familiar to Lily, it was the Palace they were talking about, it was beautiful, she concluded, the little she saw was enough to make her curious of what was behind the big wooden gates.
Sebastian increased his pace as they approached the wooden gate, Lily was almost running to catch up with him, she actually forgot about the teachings Jazmine gave about her way of walking.
"Why have you not allowed the carriage to take us in?" Lily asked.
"i chose to walk, it is the same thing as getting ready for the battles ahead" he replied with a shrug.
"wait up" she screamed after some minutes for he had left a huge space between them again, he stopped only to turn his head.
"how forgetful of me, I had actually forgotten that I had tiny legs following me, forgive me" He joked as Lily glared at him, walking close to him, he suddenly placed his hands behind her waist bending down a bit he carried her off the ground, it was a bridal style.
Lily couldn't help but turn tomato red, her beautiful cheeks became flushed.
"put me down" she said in a tiny voice as she placed her head on his muscled chest.
