Brian hugged Jody while the thunder, lightning, and heavy rain continued. The two of them sat on the floor. Brian didn't say a word; he just hugged Jody while she shook with fear.
In the meantime, Zev's car stopped in the parking lot. He immediately exited the car and walked to a vehicle left in the parking lot. He's not familiar with the car. Even though the window was tinted, he even looked inside. Zev was sure he would hear Jody if she were still at school because he knew Jody was afraid of thunder and lightning. He went to the main building right away and started looking there. Every time thunder and lightning made a loud sound, Zev stopped walking to see if Jody would scream. Then he went to a different building but didn't hear anything. The whole school is quiet, and the only sounds that can hear are the heavy rain, thunder, and lightning.
"Where could she be?" Zev asked.
