The morning atmosphere in the eleventh grade was crowded with students who had just arrived.
At that time - in class, Arvita and Mira were busy discussing chemistry lessons. Some questions had them arguing a bit about finding the correct answer.
Their homeroom teacher, Mrs. Ida, came in with an authoritative demeanor. But there was a different scene than usual because Mrs. Ida didn't come alone. A man with a handsome face followed in her footsteps.
The students were amazed because of a boy with a tall and proportional body coupled with a visible half-blood face.
Even his hair was dark brown, and his nose was too high, like a spigot.
But there is something strange about the boy's gaze. He looks flat, cold, and arrogant, and his face is too mature.
This time, he was already standing in front of the class. Who knows what he saw?
Arvita could only see an indifferent and unconcerned attitude shown by the man.
"Attention, please, and Good Morning, everyone!" Greet Mrs. Ida in a friendly manner as usual. Suddenly all the students return the greeting of the teacher.
"I want to introduce a new student to our class. Please, introduce his name as Benjamin Armand Dirk Eugenius." Mrs. Ida explained, and it seemed difficult to pronounce the name.
"Let's say his name is Armand... Is it right, Armand?" Mrs. Ida smiled too wide but didn't close her smile for long because Armand just kept quiet and cleared his throat.
Immediately all the students in the class became busy and whispered. Armand seemed silent and did not say hello to all his new friends.
All the students were still looking at him and still hoped to hear the voices of the new students.
"Armand? Can you say something to your new friend, please?" said Mrs. Ida, glancing at him.
Armand only slightly raised his chin. Suddenly there was silence, and all eyes were on him.
"Hello ... everyone ..?" Armand said flatly, and his voice sounded very heavy.
Mrs. Ida couldn't help but smile strangely at Armand's attitude.
"Kids, Armand previously lived abroad. So I hope you can help Armand with the adjustment. And Armand? Don't be shy to ask me or your new friend,"
Again and again, Armand didn't show any expression. He still seemed unconcerned with all of Mrs. Ida's explanations.
"Armand, you can sit on the empty bench over there." Said Mrs. Ida pointing to the back of the chair Arvita and Mira.
Armand also casually walked straight to his seat, even though all eyes were still looking at him, especially the female students.
The canteen of Senior High School 01X already looks very crowded. Arvita has bought a lot of lunch which she has placed on her table. Mira only brought some fruit and a box of milk.
"Are you sure you only eat that, Mira?" Asked Arvita, looking strangely at her friend's lunch.
Mira nodded and began to eat the pieces of the fruit. "I'm on a diet... yesterday after eating meatballs with you. I gained adding 3 pounds of weight." Mira said, dramatizing the situation.
"What's the problem? You need to eat! That's torturous, Mira. You don't need to diet." Vita satire.
"Hhh...?! It's easy for you. But not for me! If I were like you. Eat a lot but not gain weight. I want to..." Mira replied.
Arvita just replied by rolling her eyes.
"Hey..! Look at that new kid. He sits there alone. I think he's cute, but how come he seems arrogant," Mira said, pointing behind Arvita.
Arvita immediately turned her head slightly, food still filled her mouth, and only an indistinct murmur could be heard.
"Hah??" Mira, who didn't understand what Arvita was saying, could only stay silent, and still, Arvita mumbled with a mouth full of food.
Arvita took mineral water and drank it quickly.
"I mean, none of my business!" Arvita answered briefly and returned with her food.
"By the way, have you worked on the proposal? An assignment from Mrs. Ida last week."
"Well, I just need to submit. How about you. Don't say if you...?" Mira asked back.
"Hey! Don't look at me like that! I have done my homework," said Arvita is a little arrogant.
"Good for you. Uhmm..." Mira said, but her eyes focused on something.
"It's so weird, isn't it?" Mira was still staring at Armand, and Mira brought her face closer to Vita.
"What is weird?" Vita also moved her face to look at Mira's face very closely,
"Why? Your powder is too thick, huh?" guess Arvita.
"Arvita!!! It's not about me!! I mean the new kid!" Mira said annoyed and immediately held her cheek.
"Mmm...? Now what? Why do we keep talking about him?"
"Why does he have to enter our high school? Why doesn't he just choose a private school? Just look at his appearance. Looks like a bourgeois kid, doesn't he? So... why don't we think that he looks older than both of us? Is it because he's Caucasian? western movies. Boys and girls look older....not to mention...." Mira said long and wide.
It's been almost two minutes since Mira chatted for long time, and Arvita was getting tired of hearing her friend's story.
"STOP!!! it's none of my business. And I also don't want to know about him!" Arvita stopped from her words, her eyes no longer looking at Mira's face.
Arvita's eyes looked at someone behind Mira's back.
Mira, who was aware, immediately turned her head behind her. Mira's cheeks immediately turned red.
There was a boy among them named Fadli. He was Mira's ideal man and was standing behind Mira. Fadli looked at Mira and Arvita in turn.
