"What? Seriously?" Grayson whispered to me and I sat up in my chair, nodding before pulling some strand behind my ear. I just told him about my encounter with Dace well, not all of it just the dinner part.
"The werelions are one thing but another family of them? Emma, do you have a death wish?!"
"Shh!" someone snapped at us from across the table to keep it down.
"Sorry" I said to the person, we both were at the library and silence was what was needed.
"Emma" Grayson began more quietly. "Don't go"
"I can't Grayson, I have to"
He sighed. "What will you tell mom or Vanessa"
"You and I both know Mom is working late in the hospital and Vanessa is occupied with something, look they won't know I left"
"This is not a good idea,"
"I know, but I have to be there, even though Dace didn't tell me I know it's like a big deal to be there"
"I'm coming with you"
"What?"
"Yes and you can't talk me out of it"
