Marcus
I looked over my wrist, at the time and wandered my gaze over the cafe. One of the few cafes here in Santa Monica. Customers bustled in tropes but there was no sign of him. I wondered why he chose to meet me here at my place instead of Los Angeles. A lot of questions played in my mind and I couldn't bring myself to think over them. Ponder over them. And I knew by now, my brother would be worried about me, worried about why I left in the middle of the break.
I reached for my phone inside my inner coat pocket and exhaled at the name. "Yes, brother?" I answered. "You don't have to worry. Nothing is wrong. I just have some business to take care of, I will be back shortly."
"Yes, brother." I nodded and smiled in assurance at the worry in his voice and I could picture the concern on his face right now.
