I watched that news and it reminded me of how the police interrogated me for raping my stepmother and almost murdering my father. Those two aren't my favorite beings but it's absurd that they believed I did that. The questions reminded me of the exact questions they asked me and it kinda infuriated me now. But then I looked at her when she placed a hand on mine, her hand was filled with warmth and it comforted me, it kinda calmed the annoyance seeping through me including the smile plastered across her face.
It left that tug on my heart and I couldn't resist pulling her close. And when she said those words, I couldn't refrain anymore. Apart from my mom and Kenny, no one gave that look or said those words. I was always the bad guy, the psycho guy. No girl ever looked at me the way she looked at me. And when she said to be happy. Life is short. I couldn't help but say inwardly. Not when you are labeled a rapist and attempting murder.
