She halted the car when we reached the traffic lights. We spent some minutes and she resumed driving when the lights turned green.
"What?" I asked curiously when she kept glancing at me.
"Nothing." She shook her head and swerved the steering wheel to the left alley that led to the house. There was a brief silence between us but she spoke up.
"You haven't answered my question."
"What question?"
"The reason you are so withdrawn or why you act so mean."
"Cause people are so scary and the world is an unfair place to be in." I looked out of the window, not minding why she asked the question. I took a peek at her but her attention was channeled on the streets. Her face was lanced with worry.
