I was perplexed when there was a change in her countenance, the look in her eyes. It was filled with sympathy and I can't help but wonder why she is throwing me that look. Her eyebrows were pulled together in worry, and her eyes glistened.
The next minute I was stunned when she threw her arms around me and hugged me. My body and brain went blank at her action. I mean why is she suddenly hugging me? Did something happen to warrant it? Yet, I can't seem to pull her away. In a way, her arms comforted me and for some reason all I want is for us to remain in this position, her body pressed against mine soothed me.
"Thank you. For everything. And for being a strong fellow." She prompted but I couldn't comprehend why she said that.
Strong fellow? What did she mean by that? I waved off my curiosity as she continued hugging me.
Debating. I was about to circle my left arm around her when she jerked away from me.
