My eyes glued to the window, William still staring at me, his smile softening my hardened heart. Guess I'm failing at It.
I took a deep breath and walked into the coffee shop. The delicious smell of coffee is always welcoming as it wafted over my nose.
My eyes dunk over the floral wallpapers and I sigh. I have missed this place.
I walked over to the table William was at. He was sitting under a table beneath the beautiful vintage chandelier draping from the ceiling
"Adeline," he stood up and greeted me with a kiss on the cheek like we were old pals.
"Glad you came." He says with a smile which I met with contempt.
I sat on the Victorian-style couch, facing him, and placed my purse on the checkered tablecloth covering the table. My full attention is now on him.
"What favor do you want from me?"
He just smiled. I could easily melt inside if I opened my heart to him.
