Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 - Childhood Friend

[ Place : Library, Time : Now ]

"Yu, have you found it?"

"Not yet"

I am Akahasa Riyu from the Akahasa family. I am a handsome man.

"..."

I know I know. Am I too confident? Well that's actually true though.

Well I don't want to be arrogant that I have blackish white hair and dazzling whitish blue eyes. So let's talk about that in the future.

Currently, I am with a woman named Mei. She is a pretty girl around 16 years old. She has dark purple hair and eyes. Her hair is long, her body is slender, her legs are seduct- I mean attractive.

Mei has a balanced physique, neither too tall nor too short. If I were asked to put it in one word, I would say, "beautiful".

However she is very beautiful.

However, Mei's beauty actually depends on the situation. I mean, she gives off a different aura of beauty depending on the situation.

Sometimes Mei has an aura so cold that her icy beauty can repel any man who approaches her (with just her gaze). Sometimes Mei also gives off a warm aura so that she is like an obedient and traditional wife. However, there was also a time when Mei gave off a smoldering aura so she could rule like a dictato- I mean a capable leader.

In essence, Mei can show the beauty of winter, spring, and summer. I haven't found the beauty of autumn because she doesn't show her vulnerability. Even though I know that beauty is hidden in her heart.

...

Well her aura can support all her personalities.

Mei has an unapproachable aura, she also has a hidden warm aura, or she also has a charismatic side. But until now, her cold aura was more domineering.

I can see all those auras with my eyes. How do I do it? Maybe because of my unique feelings or genetics Or maybe both.

My initial interest in Mei also came from her aura. Her aura at that moment caught my attention so I started a conversation with her.

Well that's only 99% of the reasons I'm attracted to her. The rest was because she was a genius. I emphasize, not smart, but genius. Can you imagine a 10 year old child understanding university-level subjects? What the hell. It's cheating, it must be cheating

(sigh)

I'm not jealous, okay, I'm not jealous. Don't believe it? up to you.

Anyways I happily- ahem I mean humbly would say that I'm a genius too.

Don't believe it? Up to you.

Well, back again. After I started the conversation, Mei and I started competing, discussing, and chatting until before we knew it, Mei and I had become childhood friends.

There are also other things that strengthen our relationship as happened 5 years ago. But let's talk about that in the future.

Oh yeah I almost forgot. Sometimes she was also cruel and had a scary expression-

"You said bad things about me, right?"

(gulp)

Damn, this is why I'm so careful about talking about her (even in my heart). Her intuition is sharp. And now, when she focused her eyes on me, staring at me intensely, her intuition became sharper. It even gave me goosebumps.

"Haha, of course not. I don't have the courage to say anything bad about you."

I scratched the back of my head.

"Hmm... is that so?"

She looked at me more intensely. And here I am, sweating.

In a split second I used 100% of my mind to find a solution and then I saw something I needed.

"Ah, I found it."

I started pretending to be trying to pick up a book while still hoping that Mei had forgotten her intuition.

"Bring it here!"

And as expected she returned to her previous expression.

Thankfully, at least I survived for now.

I started walking towards Mei who was sitting in a comfortable chair with a long table in front of her.

"(sighs) Why am I a servant in my own house."

I complained a little about my current situation. After all, it is true that this library belongs to my family. But of course in front of childhood friends the status was in vain.

"Don't complain, quickly bring the book."

"Okay, okay ."

That's it, I became a servant- Em? the words are not quite right. "I helped Mei find her book" like that's just right.

"This."

I put the book on the long table in front of her.

"Are you sure you want to read this? It's way too complicated than I know."

"No problem. I'll read all the books your mother wrote."

"..."

And I can only be silent because I remember what happened 5 years ago.

"Sorry I did not mean to-"

"No need. I'm actually proud that you admire my mother."

If I'm not mistaken, 5 years ago, Mei spoke with my mother several times. And from what I know, Mei really admires her. My mother is the same, I guess.

If they hadn't disappeared because of what happened 5 years ago, my mother would probably have taken Mei as her student.

"Just focus on your book, if you have any questions just ask me. I've read it."

I then sat in my chair, then looked at the book in front of me.

"So, I guess I should read this book huh."
