Sophie was waiting for Acera to come back that night but he didn't show up and she was tired from the long journey to wait much longer.
Sophie was sleeping like a baby and got the bed to herself.
By the time the doors to her room creaked open, it was early in the morning. She heard the soft sound of the door opening but it was not enough to make her open her eyes and watched how it was.
Her mind was hazy, and now that she was back in the king's chambers nothing was too worried about at least her safety. Acera was a complete freak when it came to the security of his personal space.
Other than a handful of people no one else was allowed in this area of the castle, not just a few of them in his room.
Hence she didn't bother to check and kept sleeping by her side of the bed until the blanket covering her was snatched away. She was shivering from the cold.
