Chapter 1 - Waking up

Thud!

Ouch! Yeah, it's just as you're thinking. I literally just fell off my bed.

"Seriously Lisa, you just had to wake me with a megaphone?" As if on cue, it blasted off again right into my ears. "Get your lazy ass off the bed or you'll miss out" Lisa urged hastily.

"Hey, I can hear you. There's no need for a megaphone. Anyway, what day is today?" I asked as I tugged my hair sleepily. Can't I be allowed to rest peacefully during a goddamned holiday?

"Mum's payday! That means - "

SHOPPING!! O boy!!

I could swear that my speed in freshening up rivalled the record. No fancy outfit, just a sky blue top paired with blue jeans and white canvas.

We weren't wealthy to begin with, having just enough to ensure we don't starve. But despite being raised in a single parent family, mum still tried her best to make ends meet. She ensured that we went shopping to buy new clothes once her pay arrived.

Even though the clothes were simple, it did nothing to hamper my radiant beauty. Mum said it was something we got from Dad.

It doesn't mean she wasn't pretty cause as far as I'm concerned, mum is one of the if not the most beautiful woman I have ever come across. But she said we looked so much like dad.

Whenever we ask her about him, she always found a way to evade the topic so as time went on, we understood that she didn't want to talk about it.

Anyways, back to the present.

I combed back my hair and held it in place with a butterfly hairpin. Finishing, I stared at my reflection in the mirror. Hovering at a height which could be considered tall for teen girls, I had deep black pupils with golden highlights, waistlength black silky hair and a good C cup (I'm definitely proud of it). My figure was quite good though not as good as some in my school but still okay. Though I envy those girls who cause accidents just by smiling. How great it would be if -

* cough cough* I derailed again, sorry

I was shaken out of my reverie by Lisa's reminder, " come on slowpoke"

Haa~ her attitude definitely needs a thorough fixing.

But first, let's go shopping!!
