I wake up when the splitting headache stops.
I know it's Rei, I knew leaving her at that hospital would get her memories back, and now that she remembers I can't let her wait for me and I never come home.
What will she tell Kaiya?
I open my eyes and I'm being dragged on the floor.
I touch the ground and turn it to water.
We fall through the ground into a dining room.
I get up and touch the floor feeling for any movement.
The guy is underground. Toya is going higher.
"Toya!" I call out and wait for him. Dude is actually watching from the comfort of his bunker. He's a dead man.
Toya finds me and takes care of the riff raff on the way to the bunker.
We reach the door and I transmute it into water, haven't these people ever heard of this kind of power. The fat fuck chokes on his drink utterly shocked we broke through.
"I'll handle it from here Toya, killing him is a waste." I grab him and drag him on the floor, let's see how he likes it. I'm lucky Rei can heal.
We wake Rin who jumps up surprised we got Genshin. The room was gate proof, Rin had no way of getting in. he must have forgotten what my power is.
Toya calls for the press and Genshin is tied up with Toya beside him, "So, whenever someone commits a crime he's killed, I hear you came up with that rule, are you above the laws you made?" he asks the guy who is looking at Toya pissed.
"Uh huh." Toya nods clicking on a computer.
Technology hasn't improved all that much though if he can still hack it, "Self-destruct huh, good idea." Toya pushes a button.
I turn around and I see drones falling from the sky and so many robots too.
Man ruled with an iron fist, people couldn't breathe and he not know how many breaths they took that day.
Toya smiles, "I new these guys did not have a self-destruct button." An army of robots walk into the room and I sigh this time I must take down the army. I touch each one and turn them into water. It's easier that way.

Genshin drops his cocky smile, ruling by fear is such a lame strategy, a king must be loved by his subjects. How else would they die for him?
"Well, you won't be around for the finale."
"I know the truth about your family, what happened 80 years ago." He says.
"if you're rushing to your grave keep talking." Don't fall for it man, he probably knows but I don't care.
"Your family was murdered by the Ise, you watched."
"Don't know what you're talking about, my family is alright." I smile at him.
"Liar, you should be dead."
"Now I'm really going to kill you." He's pissing me off.
Kai wipes out all the machines and I look at this fat bimbo. Killing him myself is not right, I say a public execution will do.
If Rei has her memories back like Kai says, I can't kill him.
I always wondered why she was against taking a life, but now that her power is back, it makes sense, she was born with the power to preserve life, so she can't help but value everyone's life, whether it's bad or good person.
She's naturally empathetic, downside, she attracts broken people, upside, she can heal anything.
My watch beeps. Shit I should get home quickly.
"We'll get your blood one way or the other, immortal." The fat guy says.
Kai stands in front of him and touches his chest. The fat guy changes shape and he's just a punk nerd.
"Where the hell is he, tell me and I might let you in on our secret of how we're still alive." I whisper in his ear and he actually believes me.
He tells us the location and the man doesn't even live in the country, he's living large in the Bahamas. What an asshole.
"Dammit, we can't leave. Someone else will take care of him, let's go, I'll keep my word, what's your name anyway." I ask the kid.
"Murasaki Ichika."
"Okay, so he's not your dad, why work for him?" I ask curious.
"He was funding my research on you. Your family."
"We were frozen in a capsule for 80 years, big deal." Kai says walking through the portal first.
I follow behind him and we walk into the hospital. Rei is sitting by the couch waiting for us now.
"You reckless idiots." She glares at me and I flinch back, I think, she has her memories back.
"Your memories back?" Kai asks with an obvious smile on his face.
She ignores us and I'm confident the correct answer is yes.
We go home with the nerd guy and he is staring at us like he's ready to dissect us. He's got me on edge, I don't like it.
"Rei what the hell were you thinking?!" Kai yells at her when we finally sit down together, "Do you ever think before doing something as stupid as killing yourself? You knew we didn't have any more bursts left."
Rei looks at me confused and I look away, I'm on Kai's side here, why is she confused, are her memories partially back?
"I didn't kill myself, I was pregnant, do you really think I would do that?" She looks at me and I look away, I don't want to have this conversation because all that's going to come out is an uncontrollable rage.
"You were alive the whole time?" Rin asks.
"Partially, I just needed to make my heart stop temporarily. I released a delayed burst shortly before that. I was alright, there was a time I was injected with something too, I was never dead, I got frozen in time after healing. You were in the room, you touched my leg and my arm, you felt something." She points a finger at Rin.
"You were getting warmer yeah, but temperature had nothing to do with it."
"Yes, it did, a warm body means I'm alive. I just fell asleep a lot, you read the news paper for us and last Christmas you got me a gift. Terrible smelling mince."
Rin laughs, "That was 10 years ago. The day I told you that I found out Toya's family is still alive. They've been living with Kaiya's grand mother who turned them back every decade." He says.
"Really? A time manipulator still exists? Fascinating. You guys lived in the golden age of powers. Where the most powerful powers existed, now those kinds of powers are really rare. Everyone has one or two useless powers. It's crazy out there." The nerd speaks.
"Yeah, well now you know what happened." Kai stands up walking away angry.
I sigh sitting down, "Don't mind him, he's just always like that, that's his default mode." I stand up walking to my room for a shower.
