"I have spent twenty years filling the markets with ample stock of the most addictive drugs, dealing with the lives of innocent people; bodies of women, killings of men and orphaning of their children. After making such great use of my life, here I'm sitting in front you," said Mr. Bruce, with an unusual shine in his eyes. "I will advise you as a friend, there is definitely an almighty up there, giving each one of us the punishment of our Karma, so you better watch yourself as person."
Dr. Ian could only sit still and serve silence as his reply, before saying, "if you are alive, you can always make amends for your doings, no one achieves anything if you die."
"I didn't say that I regret my life, I mean, I have had fun always being at the top of the food chain and being the most feared person of all. If a short life is the price for what I have gained, then it is not at all a bad thing, in fact everyone would want this," replied Mr. Bruce.
Oriel and Bonnie, stills hiding outside the slightly opened door, listening to their conversation, were having a little talk of their own. "How long is this person going to irritate my dad?" demanded Bonnie, furiously, "Miss, don't you think that he is a total crackhead?"
Bonnie didn't hear any answer from her Miss and she looked above herself, at the face of Oriel. "Miss!"
Oriel's face remained expressionless, she was so immersed in his solemn speech that she no longer tried to control Bonnie. The latter saw the chance and rushed inside the cabin, calling out to her dad, jumping upon him like a monkey. "Dad!"
Oriel only realized her mistake when the door was completely pushed open and her presence was now revealed to both of them. "Miss Oriel!" they said in unison.
She was glued on her feet and didn't dare move an inch inwards or outwards. Her eyes wavered from side to side and she stuttered to ejaculate a word from her perplexed mind.
"Why did you bring Bonnie here?" asked Mr. Ian.
"I... I was no..." she trembled at the way Mr. Bruce scowled at her for eavesdropping on the biggest secret of his life. His eyes had fire burning inside them and his aura turned unusually cold. She could not find the man who had prompted her to thinking that he was an admirer of hers.
"I brought her here," interrupted Bonnie. "You forgot about out our appointment, I hate you."
She tried to save Oriel from getting in trouble, but the furious countenance of the both the men, hardly changed.
"I will be on my way then," said Mr. Bruce. "Looks like I will have to change my doctor to someone who doesn't have an intrusive family."
Dr. Ian rose from his chair and tried to apologize for the behavior of his daughter. "I am really sorry. I hope you can forgive for this time. It will never happen again."
"I won't be coming here for that to happen again."
Dr Ian convinced him for a countless time, stopping him from leaving in fury, but it helped in no way. "I have just announced myself as a dying person in front of a stranger, when not even my wife is aware of this."
"I'am sorry," came a meekly voice from Oriel's mouth. I didn't mean it."
He stuck his furious gaze at her and scrutinized the movements of her trembling body. "So you do know everything."
"Let it be Bruce. I will make sure that no one finds out if you don't want it to," said Dr. Ian.
"Yeah, I will make sure that doesn't happen because I don't like any loose ends in my work as well." He looked at her from feet to head, shivering on her spot, and said, "I will need to have this lady leave with me, in order to do what I usually do with those who end up knowing my secrets."
His words caused her heart to stop a beat and she looked at his perilous smile. Her voice settled down and didn't allow her to speak another word.
"I... swear I won't utter any word of this to anyone."
"That's exactly what I am gonna make you do."
Coldness surrounded Mr. Bruce and he approached her manner that it further chilled her bones. She started taking constant steps backwards as he approached. But it could not keep him from grasping her wrist tight and taking her outside with him.
"This is not appropriate. I didn't hear anything, nothing at all," she said, flustered.
"You just confirmed that you did and I can't afford a stranger to know so many of my secrets, unless you someone agrees to not act like strangers when it's apparent that the force of fate is trying to bring us close."
