Chapter 22 - Portal

Time flew by inexorably; in the blink of an eye, a day and a few hours had passed, and it was now only a few minutes until the raid began.

During this time, Yao Wang was able to use up the stored yin essence. He even made out with Emelia almost every twelve hours, each time ensuring that she was in her weakest state before letting her rest.

One could even say that she didn't rest properly during this time...

After the first lust section, she slept for almost twelve hours. Before she could leave, Yao Wang was already done with meditating and he still wanted more yin essence, so he made her go through another section of lust.

This happened three times until the final morning before the raid. Only then was she given the proper time to rest and get herself prepared for the raid.

She was a lousy sex maniac before, but now she fears that holy... sorry, evil name called sex.

She now fears Yao Wang. She was too embarrassed to tell him to his face that he was a monster.

On the other hand, Yao Wang was pretty cool, refreshed and filled with power this morning—the power to accomplish everything he wanted.

Yao Wang dressed up in an expensive designer outfit that included a multi-pocket short and shirt, as well as a pair of leather sandals fit for assassins because they didn't make a sound when he walked.

In this life, Yao Wang happened to like putting on a beanie anytime the clothes he wore came with no hood. It was one of his favorites.

This time, he did not have to hide his sword, so he took it out of the spatial ring and wore it on his back.

Then he set out of his room, taking the room card with him, as this could be the last time he stepped into this room for eternity.

He had his fill at the hotel's restaurant before departing alongside Emelia, who was silently giving him different names in her heart.

Together they bought a taxi which took them to the place. There they met with everyone taking part in this raid, and Yao Wang was shocked to see Lin Tian, the dude who gave him that demonic inscribed dagger, which happens to be his as a gift to make him shut his mouth.

Lin Tian was dressed in a casual outfit, but his red hair and cold aura made him a rival of Yao Wang in terms of attracting attention.

Lin Tian was cold, carries a calm aura, and only talks when he is needed. On the other hand, Yao Wang was cold to whoever he wanted to. He only talked to people who caught his action and the aura around him was a bloodthirsty one.

At first, he was kind of surprised as to the reason someone as such would be participating in the raid.

The Immortal Squadron clan was there with their promised ten participants, who acted superior to others.

Nevertheless, there was also someone who caught his attention as well as the attention of others, not only because of his handsomeness but also because of the powerful presence he had, a guess, and one would be able to tell that he was on the verge of becoming a king realm cultivator.

This person was no other than Damian, the dude related to Oscar, who works for Space Patrol Alpha and was a demon hiding himself in the clothing of a human just because he wanted to obtain something.

Most participants usually try to create a temporary relationship with Damian as they see him as someone who can help them face what is happening.

Lin Tian spotted Yao Wang after the ladies who surrounded him had dispersed. He waved while forcing a smile and also approached him for a friendly handshake.

Both of them shook each other's hands and introduced themselves properly, as they should have from the beginning.

He also mentioned that he has been searching for his whereabouts for some time now. He mentioned that he has just opened a new business firm and would like Theo Wang to be his first ever brand ambassador.

"For that, I can't decide on behalf of my little bro."

"It's okay, I'll properly pay a visit once we are out of the tomb and talk through the process properly."

They discussed other stuff, exchanged numbers, and even gave pointers.

The others misinterpreted them as brothers because they could not hear what they discussed.

Standing on a corner while leaning on a wall, Damian watched both of them, and found them pretty interesting.

A few minutes later, three helicopters flew down there and took everyone in.

On the other hand, the Immortal squadron clan flew on a specially prepared helicopter.

During the flight, Yao Wang, Damian, and Lin Tian entered the same helicopter along with other raiders. The other helicopters were filled with others, including Emelia.

Their journey halted in a pretty much deserted area. They were informed that the energy from the tomb made it extremely difficult for aircraft and vehicles to pass through as they would always explode and be burnt to the tiniest bit of ash.

This didn't occur at the first time it was spotted, but a few days after it appeared, it began sucking humans into it and even made the aircraft and vehicles that were nearby explode.

The security personnel protecting that place were also sucked in as well.

Nonetheless, anyone who came close to the entrance, which was a green-colored portal, was not sucked in, which surprised the government as to how such a thing could occur.

Whether those people sucked inside were alive or dead was a mystery the government was trying to unveil, but Yao Wang believes that the probability of those people being alive was less than 0.01%.

It was a known fact that the tomb always required blood.

However, when it begins taking the blood before the hand, no one needs to tell him that this tomb will be more bloodthirsty than his previous life.

"Everyone knows that there might be dangers as well as treasures lying inside this place. Make sure to be careful. If you fully raid this place, I'm willing to give each one of you a sum of one million."

Collins held a sign where the face of the governor could be seen.

The final preparations were completed, and everyone entered the green portal one by one, with Yao Wang being the last to enter, alongside Lin Tian, whose acquaintance had grown significantly since he mentioned Theo Wang was going to be brand ambassador.
