Luo Ning didn't hold back.
"I want to change my agent."
Fu Ci was taken aback, "Is it that simple?"
"For you, it's simple, but not for me. My agent is Yan Qiuping," Luo Ning said.
Fu Ci knew Yan Qiuping, one of the company's top agents, especially since resources had been improving ever since he started managing Ji Xinghang. It really wasn't easy for an artist under him to change agents without his consent.
"Okay, if this talisman works, I'll help you switch agents. If not, get ready to leave the circle," he stated bluntly.
"No problem." Luo Ning was about to leave when she noticed a change in Fu Ci's expression.
She said, "President Fu, a layer of green has appeared at the end of your brow, your sister is about to have an accident."
Fu Ci frowned unhappily upon hearing this, "Even if you want me to do something for you, don't curse my sister."
He didn't believe Luo Ning's words at all and was even more upset by them, almost wanting to throw away the talisman she had given.
"Your family will probably call you soon." Luo Ning stood up, "The talisman I gave you just now could help her, remember to try it."
When it came to things related to Feng Shui Xuan Shu, those who believed only needed a little convincing, while those who didn't wouldn't believe no matter how much you talked. She didn't feel like saying more.
"I'm leaving now, goodbye!" She opened the door and left.
By the time Secretary Wei came in with the tea, Luo Ning had already left.
"President Fu, do you have any instructions?" Secretary Wei, seeing President Fu frowning deeply, somewhat regretted having just agreed to help Luo Ning bring in the note.
Fu Ci, trusting his secretary, who was also aware of his sister's situation, roughly relayed what Luo Ning had said.
Secretary Wei was also skeptical, "Luo Ning is so young, all that about facial features must be nonsense."
In his understanding, a powerful Feng Shui Master should be an old man with a profound presence, and Luo Ning, no matter how you looked at her, didn't seem like someone skilled in this area.
Fu Ci agreed, "It seems like another woman trying to attract attention."
He finished speaking, pulled the talisman out of his pocket, and threw it into the trash can, deciding not to try it because it seemed unreliable.
Just then, his phone rang.
After listening to his mother's words, his complexion changed, "What? Weiwei fell down the stairs? Is she alright?"
"I'm heading to the hospital right now." He hung up the phone, his face full of shock.
He truly hadn't expected Luo Ning to be actually right; it was too mysterious.
His sister had just accidentally fallen down the stairs and was now being taken to the hospital, so there was no way Luo Ning could have known about it in advance.
Secretary Wei was also taken aback, "Could it be that Luo Ning really can read facial features?"
It was hard to believe.
Fu Ci immediately picked the talisman out of the trash can and carefully put it in his pocket, "I'm going to the hospital, check into the situation between Luo Ning and Yan Qiuping."
Secretary Wei nodded, "Okay!"
When Fu Ci arrived at the hospital, Fu Wei was in the operating room, and his parents were already waiting outside.
After about half an hour, the operating room doors opened.
"Doctor, how is my daughter?" Mrs. Fu asked anxiously.
The doctor replied, "Her leg is broken, we've done the surgery, and she will need some time to recover."
"Miss Fu is still unconscious, but she should wake up soon." This was the Fu family's private hospital, so the doctor's attitude was very accommodating.
The three members of the Fu family all sighed in relief and went back to the ward together.
Seeing his sister's pale face and frail body, Fu Ci felt a deep pang of distress.
He thought for a moment then took the talisman out of his pocket and put it into Fu Wei's hospital gown pocket.
Mrs. Fu and Mr. Fu both looked a bit confused. "What are you doing?"
Fu Ci did not hide anything and recounted the events that had happened in the office.
Mr. Fu frowned, "Is it really that miraculous? Could it be a coincidence? Or does she have some ulterior motive?"
As a businessman, he couldn't help but think of other possibilities.
However, Mrs. Fu thought more simply. "How could there be so many coincidences? Didn't you hear what our son said? Luo Ning had left his office when Weiwei fell down the stairs. It's impossible that she could have known beforehand; she must have seen it coming."
Their daughter had suffered so much, she was willing to believe it was true rather than dismiss it.
"Besides, Ah Ci has already given the talisman to Weiwei. We'll soon know if it works." Naturally, she hoped it would.
Hearing this, Mr. Fu sighed. "I hope the talisman really works."
He too was hoping that the actress really had the ability to help their daughter.
In the midst of their conversation, the previously comatose Fu Wei slowly woke up. She looked apologetically at the trio, "Mom, Dad, big brother, I've made you worry again."
Since three years ago, her health had been deteriorating, and it seemed she had run into a streak of bad luck, frequently encountering various accidents, which was why she rarely dared to go out now.
Today, she just wanted to go downstairs to get some fruit, but unexpectedly, she slipped and fell.
There was no water on the staircase, and her shoes were non-slip, yet an accident happened again.
Mrs. Fu asked with concern, "Does your leg hurt? Do you feel any changes in your body?"
Upon hearing her question, Fu Wei indeed felt considerably more comfortable. "I don't feel as cold as usual. I've been feeling dizzy these past days, but now my mind is very clear."
Mrs. Fu's eyes brightened. "The effect of the talisman is really good."
Mr. Fu and Fu Ci were both shocked. Could the effect of the talisman be so good, and work so quickly?
"Could it just be that Weiwei is in a better state today? Or perhaps it's a placebo effect?" Mr. Fu still found it hard to believe.
Mrs. Fu gave him a look. "We didn't tell Weiwei about the talisman on her body, how could it be a placebo effect? It must be the talisman working."
Fu Wei was confused. "What talisman?"
Fu Ci explained again, then thought for a moment and said, "Why don't we take off the talisman for now and see how you feel?"
Fu Wei hadn't expected her older brother to dabble in superstitious beliefs, but it seemed to actually be somewhat effective. She too wanted to know whether it was psychological or caused by the talisman.
So she took the talisman out of her pocket and placed it on the table next to her.
Then the family started to chat casually. After a few minutes, Fu Wei again felt a bit of that dizzy sensation, and her body started to feel cold in waves.
"I feel awful!" she said, hugging her arms around herself.
Mrs. Fu noticed her daughter's face turning even paler and quickly put the talisman back in her hospital gown pocket. "Try this again."
About ten minutes later, Fu Wei wide-eyed and slightly incredulous, said, "This talisman is truly miraculous. I don't feel as cold, and my mind is clear again."
This time, Fu Ci and Mr. Fu had to believe; they had observed the improvement in Fu Wei's complexion after using the talisman.
Fu Ci did not hesitate to pull out his phone and call Luo Ning, asking her to come to the hospital.
The other three members of the Fu family did not object and secretly harbored a glimmer of hope.
Fu Wei had just undergone surgery and her body was already weak, so she fell asleep quickly.
Fu Ci raised his wrist to check the time. Seeing there was still some time before his meeting with Luo Ning, he headed to a VIP hospital room upstairs to visit his friend who had been in a car accident.
In the hospital room, Lu Xun was half-sitting, idly playing with a talisman. Hearing the knock, he quickly stuffed the talisman back inside his clothing.
