After Headmaster Andi said yes to the new club, I had to name it.
"What about Safety Club? I like that." I thought to myself.
I headed over to an empty club room I wrote on a piece of paper, Safety Club. I hung it on the room number sign and got to work. I set up some desks so kids could do their homework or even take a nap. Next, I set up some laptops so they could play games or watch something. Then, some board games. I've been hearing that alot of kids really enjoy playing the new games like, Dungeon Escape or something. And a little extra something, I set up bean bags and books for kids to read.
"Finished!" I yelled.
Now for the fliers. I headed to the press room to make some fliers. I entered the room and saw someone looking over ideas for the school paper.
"Oh, hi there. Do you need something?" She asked.
"My name is Elaine." She said.
"I need some fliers for a new club." If I want people to join the club, I need fliers. "Okie doki. I know a perfect design." Elaine sounded exited. "I would like them to something like, 'Rank doesn't matter, anyone can join. We have books games and more. Room 528.' or something like that."
I wanted them to know that it wouldn't matter the rank or ability, anyone could come.
"Got it, coming up."
Elaine rushed over to the computer and made the fliers within ten minutes.
"All done!" Elaine yelled. They looked beautiful.
"There perfect." I said.
"Do you need help putting up the fliers?" Elaine asked.
There were a ton of fliers. "No that's OK, I don't want to be a bother."
It was true, I didn't want to bother her.
"Please, I insist." She kept persisting, so I may as well take the help.
"Alright, if you really insist."
Elaine and I took about 45 minutes tops to put all the fliers up. After we finished, we met up at the Safety Club.
"Wow, that was alot of fliers." Elaine gasped for air.
We were running all around the school.
"It's only 3:45. My mom doesn't expect me home until 5:30." I said.
"My mom doesn't need me home until 4:45, so I have time to hang if you want." Elaine said.
It was nice to have some company once in a while.
"You wanna be friends?" I asked.
"That would be cool sure." Elaine sounded thrilled. First friend in high school. Awesome!
