Stating some articles on his jotter, the police inquired, "When was the last time you went out with the victimized vehicle?"
Thinking for a while, he reluctantly answered, "Two weeks ago."
"And it was well serviced and lubricated?"
"Yes it was,"
"Who was the last person you communicated with before going out."
"My–"
"Grayson," Walking towards him, Petra tossed her bag aside and held his hands in hers, "How did this happen? What are you doing here?"
Widening his eyes in shock, "Petra," Grayson tried to sit up.
Placing her hand on his chest, she guided him to lay back, "No, please relax, you aren't strong yet."
Tightening his grip around her hand, he panickly stated, "Petra please don't leave me here, stay a little more."
"Am not going anywhere right now, am here, okay?" Looking at the police officers, she inquired, "How did he end up here?"
"Well ma'am I'm sorry we can't say much. Mr Flynn was involved in a very terrible accident which we are still trying to find the root of it." The officer explained.
Wiping her tears, she sniffed her nose, "Thank you officers, I want to know how this happened and who was behind this."
"Its alright ma'am, the investigation is still ongoing. When we find an evidence about the incident, we'll surely give you feedbacks." When she nodded her head with a smiling face, they left.
Turning towards Grayson who was still helplessly lying on the bed with his head and right arm bandaged, Petra cupped her cheeks, "Are you alright?"
"How do I explain my type of current joy. Of course I am happy since you are here." He smiled.
Giving him a weak smile, she gelled his hair backwards with her hand, "Does it hurt?"
"Not really," Caressing the back of her hand with his thumb, he smiled, "I missed you alot Petra."
Without saying anything, she faked a smile and sneakily slipped her hand off his. "You shouldn't do that, you have a wife and a handsome son too."
"Yes I know but they don't really matter to me anymore."
"What? Are you trying to divorce Lorena just as you did to me?" She snapped, "Grayson you better don't do it."
"But Petra, she–"
Cutting him off, she shook her head, "There's no ifs and buts Grayson. Its apparently twenty-three years since you married Lorena and I don't want you to end your relationship because of me, okay?"
Without waiting for his response, she opened her bag and brought out a flask of food and juice. Placing them on the table, "When I got a phone call from an unknown citizen about your condition, I had no choice but to prepare something before coming."
"I'm sorry I troubled you with my problems."
"It alright, you can apologize later but right now–" Helping him to sit up, she sighed, "You have to eat something, okay?"
He nodded and smiled, "Thank you Petra."
"You can thank me later, eat first." She stated and started feeding him to eat.

When she was done feeding him, she rubbed his back and inquired, "How are you feeling now? Better or still hurt."
"I'm better now, thanks for the hospitality."
"Everything I did was not for me, neither was it for your sake either." Taking a deep breath, she tuckled a strand of hair behind her ear, "I did it for the sake of our kids. I don't want them to lose their father."
"How is Sebastian and Nelly?" Without waiting for her reply, he sighed in dejection, "I hadn't heard from them for years now."
"Gray, it isn't my fault they ain't talking to you. Remember you were the one who asked us to leave when its due time." Trying to holdback the urge of tearing up, "You got us divorced and chose Lorena over us."
Wiping her tears, he held her face and gaze into her eyes, "I'm sorry for everything Petra, please find a space in your heart to forgive me. My life has been a torment since you left. Its either one problem or the other."
Trying hard to holdback the unbearable tears, but he couldn't, "I want to fix everything but I don't know where to start from. Am fustrated, am confused, my life is a big mess and he'll right now, I don't know how justify the whole situation to you."
