Cahill
I am still so mad at Genova for running away on our wedding day. Left a stunningly stupid letter as an excuse for not loving me, so she can elope with her bastard ex-boyfriend.
It was the last thing I was expecting. I woke up with a big smile on my face, with my heart moving in my chest and thoughts of having the only love of my life as my wife and Luna.
I have longed for a day like this, anticipated it because I could finally get to be with Genova Brewer, the only woman who stole my breath away at first sight.
I thought she had the same heart as her appearance, but she's not far from an ugly deceptive person.
It feels fucked up that I allow myself to fall in love with someone like her. She was pretending the whole time, which made me believe she has the same feelings as me.
When the only person she's in love with is her shit-ass ex-boyfriend who cannot even measure up to me in any way. Jack Snyder is some random guy in my pack who isn't even far from being a mad man.
It's such a shame, really. An insult to me.
I am the Alpha of the Blackwood Pack, with a huge trained muscular physique. I've got good looks as well. Money, power, and authority. The Blackwood pack is considered to be the wealthiest amongst different packs on this side of the East.
While Jack Snyder has nothing to his name. Someone like him cannot even look me straight in the eye, because I'll knock off his head within seconds, yet he was chosen over me. Someone else saw him better than me. And it hurts so much that I cannot help but feel a tad insecure.
One silly woman chose to bring shame onto me, and as well break my heart.
I'll bet she was too scared to let me know she was in love with another, scared I would do something terrible to her.
Genova Brewer pulled my heart right off my chest, threw it over the floor, and stomped hard on it.
This is the first time in my three decades on Earth that I've had my heart broken by a woman.
Is this what heartbreak actually feels like? Having an invisible continually gaping hole boring violently in your chest, with the strong need to see the said person who has hurt you, because you're still so head over heels in love with everything inside and about them.
Before her, girls were easy to get. They always throw themselves at me, even before my father stepped down as Alpha and made me one.
I could have anyone of my choice, even the most beautiful and sought-after women fall down at my feet, simply because they couldn't resist me.
They begged me to use them as much as I could, they felt it was special to have me inside of them, and they always had satisfied looks on their faces on seeing how they were getting fucked by me. To them, it was an accomplishment to have Alpha Cahill's huge dick pumping in and out of their pussy.
But I wanted something different, someone I could be free with, someone I could trust, someone who would love me for me and not because of my position. And I thought Genova was that person.
Little did I know she knew it was her who would do such a terrible thing by running away on our wedding day, after leading me on for months and making me believe she felt the same way that I did.
And now I am married to her younger sister, Matilda Brewer, whose beauty isn't close to that of Genova. Red hair, freckles on her face, and stupid green eyes.
Her mother and brothers had to make me marry her, to avoid the impending shame and humiliation. And lastly, because they're scared I will sentence them to death by beheading and hang their heads on stakes.
That would be terrible to the Brewer family, and it would be whispered about for a long while. And no one will dare mess with me anymore.
Aside from that, the Brewer family is poor as homeless street panhandlers, and as well gave me the youngest Brewer sibling to marry in order to get linked with wealth so they'll be able to clear off all the debts their late father and husband is owing, and as well pay up their loans.
Greedy, money gobbling assholes.
They're frightened, but still do not bother to hide their likeness for money. Especially Mathilda Rose, mother of the Brewer siblings. I could've sworn she persuaded Genova into leading me on because of my money, so they could as well swim in wealth, something which they haven't tasted before.
I am too upset to give a fuck about all of this because I know I will find Genova Brewer, and I will punish her for what she's made me suffer. She and her sorry ass shitty drunkard boyfriend, I will deal with them in a way they'll know better than messing with someone who's above them.
Mathilda Brewer is the youngest Brewer sibling who is nineteen years of age. Petite, pale skin, with small delicate hands.
She looks innocent with skin so soft that it can be easily broken if being manhandled or grabbed with force. I haven't seen her wolf before, but I can tell it's as fragile and skinny as her.
It is said that she has a mate from another pack, but I don't even give a fuck. Since her family has chosen to marry her off to me, she has to stay with me until I get caught by her silly elder sister, and do as I please with her.
I cannot be the only one to suffer heartbreak and pain, one of them has to suffer too. And I do not feel any form of pity towards Mathilda Brewer, it's her sister who she should blame for putting her in this kind of situation.
No one messes with me and goes scout free.
Therefore, Mathilda Brewer will have to reject her mate, now that she's my bride and Luna of the Blackwood.
Although, there are thousands of women who would kill to be in her position. Several women threw hateful and envious gazes at her during the wedding.
We didn't even stay for the reception because I am completely in a sour mood, and my Beta, knowing my terrible mood wings, escorted me to my car because I was on the verge of causing destruction out in front of five hundred guests who have traveled all over the country, from their different packs, to attend my wedding.
Right now, we're in the car, driving towards Nolan's mansion, and Mathilda Brewer has her head pressed against the car window. She's been sniffing from time to time, and cannot even look me right in the eye.
I know she doesn't want this, would've done everything within her power to stop this if she could. But she cannot or she will have to bear the consequences, by paying with her life and that of her family.
Mathilda seems scared, fragile, and completely broken. I know she's probably fantasizing about marrying her mate, but I don't care. Today is also the worst day of my life because I never imagined myself to be in such a position where I have to marry someone who is not far from being a juvenile.
She's nineteen, still a child to me and I had no choice but to agree to marry her because I cannot face the shame and embarrassment of having my supposed bride ditch our own wedding and run away with an old lover of hers.
The shit is driving me nuts already.
"You will have to reject your mate," I say quietly.
Instantly, Matilda pushes her head away from the window and turns toward me, her lips part and quiver and her eyes are beginning to get filled with tears.
"You will reject your mate at the pack's council hall," I repeat, grinding so hard on my teeth that my jaw starts to hurt.
"I know," she breathes out, her voice trembling at the edge, giving out that she is shaking. "I know that I will reject Brandon, now that I am your bride," drying her eyes with the back of her palm, she bites down on her bottom lip in pain and exasperation.
I don't say anything as I turn away from Mathilda because I am too agitated to watch the tearful face of the youngest Brewer sibling who is now my wife and the Luna of the Blackwood Park. Because the more she wipes the tears off, the more they gush out.
"Can I ask you something?" Mathilda suddenly asks quietly.
And I wonder what it is that she wants to talk about. Because she'd be wasting her saliva if she begs me to let her go and spare her family.
Slowly, I turn my gaze towards her, only to see that she has her head sagging down on her chest, with her hands clasped together on top of her thigh.
"And what could that be?" I ask, staring at her with caution.
Mathilda lets out a low puff of breath, then fidgets with her hands.
"Will you let me go if my sister returns and begs for her crimes?" she makes this inquiry, her voice filled with so much pain and face so innocent like that of a child that it makes my breath get caught up in my throat for a while.
Because she seems way too young to be my bride and the owner of Blackwood Pack.
Genova is twenty-six years of age, mature and full of intelligence. She never showed me a fragile side from afar, she was never scared to speak her mind, and I admired her for the fact that she wasn't scared or felt intimidated by me. Because she always knew what she wanted, and sadly she chose a drunk shit-ass ex-lover of hers, over me.
Loosening my tie, I say.
"That I do not know, Matilda. Your sister has done something which is unforgivable and I am not sure if I will let you go. You took a vow with me, even though they were lies. You cannot take back your words. You are now my wife and the Luna of the Blackwood Pack. But not to worry, I will not in any way get close to you, you will just fill in the spot of your sister and bear my name." I let out a low breath, after saying this. But I am not close to stopping.
"Otherwise, I will have no option but to punish you and your family gravely, where are you all will be stripped of all that you have and will be left with not even a penny, and then you will be forced to work as slaves for me and that would be if I don't consider killing you off because your sisters of offense is beyond grave."
Matilda swallows hard with her eyes widened in fear, with her hands trembling violently like she's having a terrible cold.
It was never my intention to make her this frightened with my harsh words, but she's the sister of Genova Brewer, and now my bride. I cannot have a soft spot for her, even though she appears innocent.
"Now be a good girl and do not ask me any more silly questions," I warn, with my voice stern, and I can spot Simone, my Beta throwing us a glance through his shoulder from where he is seated in front with the driver.
I'm sorry, I will speak no more," Matilda apologizes and I stare at her for some time before I look away from a frightened face and outside the window.
