"Hmmm… these are all great, but only one impacts me physically. [Farsight] merely overshadows my vampiric sight, which is greater than that of humans. [Appraisal] requires a prescient knowledge of the target."
Seth broke down the skills. Perhaps, to anyone else, they might be hyped for the skills, but Seth didn't need them at this point… at least, that was what he thought.
"F*ck. I'm going to bed. I will stick around for a few hours tomorrow, then log out."

The next day.
Hit by a ray of sunlight, Seth opened his eyes and took in a breath of fresh air.
He took his bath and decided to leave his room and wander about for a bit.
Seeing stalls upon stalls, Seth visited them, but to no avail. They lacked what he needed.
"Hmmm… where do I get a snake?"
Once he had a live snake in his grasp, he could study how to take on its form. Thinking about transforming into a shadow snake, Seth cackled without a stop.
"Kekekeke. I will be like Dracula. Hahaha. Perhaps, I should have gone with that name. How cool would that be?"
Whilst thinking, Seth walked to the adventure guild and looked at the adventure board where all the missions are posted.
"Hmm.. let's see. It's better if I have the basic hunting missions."
His eyes scanned through the board as he searched for a suitable mission. The profession of adventuring was broad. There were many sub professions like hunting, scavenging, pathfinding.
While the idea of scouting undiscovered regions sounded pleasant to him, his status as a traveler well suited the hunting sub profession.
As Seth's eyes caressed the adventure board, there was unrest among the adventurers.
"I'm telling you. My friend found her. She led him into her home and struck a bargain for his eyes!"
"It's not possible, mate. She has been missing for decades. There is no way that she resurfaced."
"What f*cking missing? It's just a story. She is a myth, I tell you. Your friend must have been stoned!"
"Hahaha. Where is your friend now?"
"He regretted his decision and killed himself yesterday night."
"..."
Seth lent his ear to the chaos in the guild, but he couldn't make sense of it. Lots of adventurer were arguing about some woman, which led to their divided opinion.
A large percentage of adventurers believed this woman to be nothing but man-made myth. A bedtime story used to scare children and make them obedient.
Yet, another percentage thought of this woman as a real living beings. They had immense faith in this woman's existence and countered the first group of adventurers.
There was also a minor percentage that claimed to have been directly or indirectly involved with the affairs of this woman. In the conversation Seth eavesdropped on, one of them said he knew a friend that was snatched by the woman.
'Just who are they talking about?' thought Seth.
He could not help but be intrigued.
From nowhere, someone sneaked behind him and tapped on his shoulder. Seth reacted instantly. He grabbed the person's arms and threw the person down.
"Hey, Rhazien, it's me! Remember, Sir White Knight!" The person said to Seth while groaning in pain.
Seth was caught off guard by his appearance, but he still replied. "Oh, Si-Knight. What are you doing here? Where are your brothers?"
Knight explained, "Hahaha, they have exams, so they logged out to study. I'm by myself now."
"Don't you go to the same college? Isn't it exam season for you too?" Seth queried. He remembered Knight saying he and his brothers went to the same college.
"Hahaha. I don't need to study. I shall live the life of a free man!'"
"Oh…"
Seth smiled as he thought. 'I guess I'm in the same situation. I didn't go to college.'
The surrounding area was still noisy. Knight had to drag Seth to a corner before they could continue their conversation.
"What's all the noise about?" Seth asked.
"Huh? You don't know."
"Just tell me, please." Seth sighed after seeing Knight's annoying smile. '
"One word. Baba Yaga!"
"... that's two words."
"Oh, really? My bad. Two words, Baba Yaga!"
"Baba Yaga? Isn't she a witch in—"
"I know, right? She is the bogeyman of myths back on Earth! Isn't this cool? This world has a Baba Yaga!"
Seth didn't find it cool, though. Judging by the adventurers' opinions, Baba Yaga was evil. It didn't matter whether she was real.
Seth asked. "Who is she?"
"We don't know. All the adventurers know is that she appears in chaotic places and strikes a deal with the brooding men. Most of her deals are wicked. They never end up well, but if one is careful with her, they can get anything they want."
Seth thought out loud. "So, she is like a wishing well? An evil wishing well."
Seth thought back to the adventurer's friend that sold his eyes for something he wanted. There was no doubt he got what he wanted, but was the price worthy enough?
"Exactly! Bro, we gotta check her out. What do we have to lose? We can just choose another avatar if we end up damaging our body."
Seth's mouth twitched as soon as he heard that.
He spat out with grand passion. "Speak for yourself. I like this avatar."
How dare Knight think he would easily discard his current avatar?!
Even if Seth lost an arm, he won't think of changing avatars.
The avatar of Rhazien Az Mor was intrinsically tied to Seth Ravenswood. He would never change avatars!
"Alright. Alright, but we have to check her out!"
Not offering any choice, Knight grabbed Seth's arm and led him outside, towards the forest region.
"Hmmm… wait. I'm not prepared for combat!" Seth screamed, but it was too late.
