Diamonds.
Literal, blue diamonds. That was what my eyes looked like.
Although my Sclera was a normal white and my pupils were black, the difference lay in the irises, they were a magnificent blue diamond.
As I pondered if this was possible, A thought suddenly came into my mind.
"Wait, is my affinity to ice the one responsible for this? Or is it my Species?"
I wondered, I didn't know which one it was…But I cannot say I dislike it. My eyes do look quite fabulous.
'Wait.'
The protagonist had a superior-grade affinity to fire and he also had scarlet irises. It was described the moment he was introduced in the first chapter and I also saw the illustration of the protagonist of this accursed world.
Oh well. Who cares? My eyes are just cool, it's not like they are a detriment to me or anything, I can still see perfectly fine.
I decided to just let it be. It was getting late and I was already tired from all this transmigration or reincarnation stuff. I don't know what to call it.
So I decided to rest. I could think of other ways to have a chance at living tomorrow.
So I closed my eyes, and quickly fell asleep.
**********
A little boy, about the age of 10 or 11, was crying. His body was injured and his clothes were tattered and stained with his own blood. The ground beneath him was cracked and the environment was littered with debris.
Three figures were in front of him, two adults, and one little girl. The two adults, one male and the other female battled against a fierce mass of black darkness in the form of a human. However, it was clear they were losing. And quite pathetically at that. The man wielded a spear and rushed at the demonic being, only to be stopped easily. The Demonic being did not relent and attacked continuously, not giving the duo a break.
The duo was desperate, they were trying their absolute best to save the boy and the little girl. The little girl seemed to be unconscious…and her legs were in a rather sorry state.
They had been crushed. The bones within the legs had been crushed to pieces and the girl was bleeding profusely.
He(?), using his whip of darkness, ripped their armor and tore off their flesh. As the whip lashed against their body their suppressed screams rang out.
"Please…s..top!"
The boy cried out. His mouth, filled with his own tears and snot struggled to utter a single word properly…But that was enough.
His plea was heard by the duo, who seemingly had strength in their eyes. They stood up once again, even though their bodies were mangled and battered.
The man rushed forward again, challenging the demon to a duel, but it was obvious it was just a ploy to buy some time. The woman, on the other hand, ran towards the unconscious girl, picked her up, and threw the girl at the boy, who barely managed to catch her. The girl was small, as small as a toddler.
"RUN! Take Samantha with you and run Alan!"
It didn't even occur to him, but the next thing he knew…he was running whilst carrying his baby sister.
Run.
Run.
Run goddamnit!
Those words echoed in his mind again and again, even though he was crying nonstop, he did not stop. Even when the debris and shrapnel on the ground struck his feet and clawed their way to his flesh. He didn't stop.
He knew he couldn't stop, he knew he must not stop! For if he did, the efforts of his parents would be in vain. And so…he ran, even when it was getting hard to breathe, even when his heart dared to jump out of his chest. He only ran.
It was that day…that accursed day where Alan and Samantha Peccator barely managed to survive... Just barely due to the efforts of their parents trying their best to stall the demon that lay waste to their city, Aror.

[Black Rock Orphanage, Alan's room, Midnight.]
Whilst Alan was sleeping, although with frantic movements and clutching his head, a blue display appeared in front of him.
[Happy birthday to the host!]
[As a gift, the host has unlocked the spatial attribute(High)]
Unfortunately, he did not see this…not yet at least.

[Black Rock Orphanage, Alan's room, next day.]
"ARGH!"
With a scream, I woke up whilst clutching my head in pain. It was fucking hurting!
"FUCK!"
I couldn't help but let out a curse and move around frantically on my bed as my head felt like it was splitting apart.
This pain was so bad, I wanted to fucking bash my head on the wall and pass out…and I was about to do it.
What stopped my brash actions was a knock on a door, accompanied by a sweet voice, which made the pain go away.
"Happy Birthday Brother! Rise and shine!"
…what? What the fuck did I just hear?
'Brother?'
Still a little confused, I forgot what had happened and focused my attention on the door.
The soft sound of the knocks on the door continued…and I got up and opened it.
When I did, I was greeted by the sight of a young girl, probably about the age of 10, in a wheelchair looking deathly pale.
The moment I saw the girl I couldn't help but notice her eyes, More specifically her irises which were just like mine, looking like diamonds although they were a darker shade of blue, unlike mine which was light blue like the sky, she resembled the sea.
As soon as I laid eyes on her, an intense feeling of joy erupted inside my body and I yelled out her name. It wasn't of my own volition…but strangely it seemed like it was.
"Samantha!"
She replied.
"Happy Fifteenth Birthday!"
"Thank you!"
"I'm sorry I couldn't help with celebrating with a cake but I brought a cupcake!"
She handed me the cake. And, without a second thought, I devoured it.
Then…I realized something.
'What the heck am I doing?'
With all that was happening, Even a dumbass could deduce that she was the sister of the original owner of this body…But even more so…my current actions were just too much.
'...shit. Why did it have to be like this?'
I thought, now realizing what kind of reincarnation occurred to me.
So this is that type of reincarnation, huh?
A common coincidence when a character was reincarnated or transgressed to another body that was already a little old instead of just starting anew as a baby.
These types usually had unresolved regrets that the new owner had to solve to gain complete control of their new body. It seems I am unlucky even in another world…
As I was cursing in my mind, the girl, Samantha spoke.
"Huh? Do you not like it? But it's chocolate! And you love chocolate."
I answered her, the cupcake inside of my mouth made it hard for me to formulate proper words.
"Ah nu Ish delicious!"
I said and devoured the cupcake.
"Great! I have to go now and take my medicine! Bye!"
'...'
Immediately after she left, I almost let out a chuckle seeing her little figure moving a joystick on her wheelchair in order to move it.
