Lydia frowned, walked slowly towards the bed, and saw a very handsome man lying on the bed, his eyes tightly closed. His nose is sharp, his brows are thick and dark, his lips a bit thin. Apart from being sick on the bed for too long causing his skin to turn a little pale, the sleeping William Chang looked no different from an ordinary person.
He looked like a perfect undead. That was William Chang, who was in a coma.
A handsome man like William makes Lydia, who is never crazy about man, cannot help but look at him repeatedly. While Lydia was staring intently at William, she suddenly heard the sound of the door closing. When Lydia immediately turned around, she noticed that the bedroom door was closed.
Lydia ran towards the door and knocked hard, "Open the door, why is the door locked? Don't lock me up here!"
At that moment, Old Madam Chang was already standing in front of the door.Separated by a door, she said to Lydia with a laugh, "Tonight you stay here to look after William. Let's just say that you two can get to know each other. Nothing to be ashamed of. When you give birth to William's child, I'll make it up to you for a sumptuous marriage feast. So that everyone will know that you, Lydia Ahn, are already the granddaughter-in-law of the Chang Family."
Lydia frowned, "But I still have to come home, my dad and company still need me..."
The Old Madam Chang laughs and says, "Calm down, you only have to be at his side for one night. Tomorrow you will find that all negative rumors related to the Ahn family have disappeared. I will also deal with the issue of financial assistance for the Ahn family right now. How about this? That's fair enough, isn't it?"
Hearing Old Madam Chang's words, Lydia slowly withdrew her hand and nodded, "I understand. I'll stay here."
For the sake of the Ahn family, Lydia had sacrificed so much, now how could she refuse and retreat?
The laugh of Old Madam Chang warms up, "The sky is getting darker, so you only have to accompany William. Somebody will bring you dinner later."
When Lydia learned there was no sound outside, she turned back to William's side. She frowned at William, then looked around, there was no couch or mattress in this room. Lydia had to sit cautiously on his bedside.
Lydia looked at William, somebody who looks so perfect and comes from a family of conglomerates can't fight his destiny either. He is now in a coma, he knows nothing of what is happening and couldn't feel anything. What else has she got to complain about? At least now she's still in a position to decide her own fate. Not like William, who can't make a choice. His grandma wants him to marry, then he gets married. His grandma wants him to have children, then he does, even if he didn't know about it. Lydia became a birthing tool because she was paid with a great deal of money, but William didn't even have a chance to hesitate and refuse.
Lydia thought about it so much and couldn't help laughing bitterly. She feels so foolish right now, she can't even believe that she's comparing her happiness to an unconscious man? Lydia smiled while closing her eyes tightly. Perhaps because today was too tired, when Lydia bent over the edge of his bed, she immediately fell asleep.
Lydia had no idea how long she'd been asleep. In the morning, when she felt somebody touch her softly, she opened her eyes.
While Lydia opened her eyes, she immediately stared at someone with her eyes slightly raised. She was surprised to the extent that she yelled loudly, then immediately ducked back. Because Lydia slept on the edge of the bed, when she ducked back, she almost fell off.
A hand wrapped around her waist, then approached her ear and said in a small voice, "Who are you? Why are you sleeping on my bed?"
Lydia's eyes widened, she saw this handsome man in front of her. A high nose, black eyebrows, slightly thin lips. Is that William Chang? Is he awake?
Lydia stared at William with frowned, her eyes bulging in shock, unable to make a sound for some time. William also narrows his eyes towards Lydia, spechless, suddenly the atmosphere became quiet. After some time, Lydia came to her senses and pushed William, then jumped out of bed and ran to the bedroom door.
Lydia banging the door while looking at William with his flat face. She tried as hard as she could, but the door remained closed. Then she shouted loudly, "Quickly open the door! Please somebody, quickly opens the door!"
Finally the door was opened, but it was Maddison Chu who came first. Maddison stood at the door with an entirely different attitude when Old Madam Chang was around. She said in an annoying manner to Lydia, "What is it? My lovely nephew's wife? Can't stand being with the undead anymore? Are you ready to go home? Even though you want to come home, why do you have to scream like that? Didn't the daughter of a fallen rich family know the rules?"
Lydia took a deep breath and soothed her disorderly temperament. She calmly tells Maddison Chu, "William Chang, he's... he's awake..." Maddison turned pale at once, as if she had heard a lot of bad news. As she refuses to believe, she says loudly, "No, that's impossible! The doctor said it was really hard for him to get up again. He will remain in a coma for the rest of his life!"
Lydia stared at Maddison with disbelieving eyes. Then she turned around and said to the maid who came and stood behind Maddison, "Go and tell the Old Madam..."
Lydia hadn't finished speaking, but she saw that Old Madam Chang was already walking towards her from below.
As she walked, the old woman asked with a smile, "Why? What is the problem? What made you scream so loud? Even I can hear you from the drawing room."
Lydia then looks at Old Madam Chang, in a small voice she said, "Old Madam..."
Old Madam Chang laughed and said in a happy voice, "Have you forgotten. You have to call me Grandma already, didn't you spend last night with William?"
Lydia bit her lip and immediately said, "Grandma, William is awake."
The Old Madam Chang looked at Lydia, her eyes widened, "What? What did you say? William is awake? Is that true?"
Lydia nodded, "Of course it is, how could I dare to lie to Old Madam?"
"Is that real? How come…." The Old Madam Chang, who had not completed her sentence, suddenly stopped talking.
The Old Madam Chang looked back at Lydia towards William's bedroom, her eyes widening. Even her body shivered with shock.
Lydia turned around, following Old Madam Chang's gaze. She found out William was leaning against the wall and walking gently towards the door.
William stood in front of his room, smiling brightly at Old Madam Chang, "Grandma, good morning."
The soft sun was shining on William's body, which made his handsome face feel warm.
