James takes an advanced clock and uses his power, only reversing it by a second. He feels that his stamina was a bit drained, and when he used it again, the clock was reversed by 2 seconds, for a total of 3. He felt a bit more drained. When he used it again, he reversed it by 4, then 8, then 16, then 32, then 64. He felt quite drained, but was incredibly excited at the results. He sees a new, hovering stat called "mana" and it has dropped to 30%.
When he takes a look out of his apartment window, he sees something. A massive, dragon-like creature wreaking havoc. He opens the window and jumps out, hastily grabbing his dagger.
He lands on the monster, and finds out that the monster's physique is decently higher than his. This scares him but with his new ability, he hopes to win. But, he doesn't have much mana left. He can only use the ability once more. He notes where the monster's head was, then jumps off and lands right next to where its head was. After waiting exactly 128 seconds, he uses his ability and his dagger directly pierces the monster's eye. While the monster is shocked, James goes and pierces the other eye.
Finally, he starts trying to find a major artery of the monster since it's basically unable to hit anything now. He finally strikes, and a massive spurt of blood explodes from the monster's neck.
[Ding! Congratulations, you have obtained [Hell Soul Tempering Technique]! Since you already have a technique of the [Hell] set and have refined it to the second stage, you can start this technique at the second stage. Would you like to learn it?]
[Yes] [No]
James is shocked, but immediately forms a grin and presses yes. He feels and immediate burst of power from the innermost chambers of his heart, and he sees that his mana went back to 100%. When he checks his stats, he sees that his soul has increased all the way to 700! Now that he has such high amounts of mana, he starts wondering if he could just *bloop* something out of existence if his time reversal became strong enough.
After wondering for some time, he jumps back into his apartment and keeps using it, and brings up the reversal all the way to 2048 seconds, which equals 34 minutes! He only had about 3% mana left, so James collapsed and fell asleep. When he woke back up, his soul stat had increased, as he had used it a lot. It had become 1000!
[Ding! Congratulations, your soul level has increased to 1000! Your "Superpower" has evolved! It has now become "Space-Time Manipulation". You can now also change space by a small extent.]
James was utterly shocked… he can now manipulate space?! He tests this ability on a desk, and… nothing happens. He tries again, but moves his hand to the right, and the desk actually extends a tiny bit towards the right! "HOLY SH*T! IF I MASTER THIS AND TRAIN IT ENOUGH, I CAN MAKE PILLARS BURST OUT OF WALLS, MAKE THE GROUND RESTRAIN A GIANT, SO MANY POSSIBILITIES BUT… I need to train it way, way more for that. Either way, I'll get there eventually!". After training it for a few hours, he was able To make a pillar that was up to ten centimeters wide and long, while being 20 high. After refining it for some time, he was able to make it burst forth with power. After training even more, at one point, it had such high speed that when it bursted out, it broke off from the ground and was like a short, wooden stick. He had a theory, and made the shape of a pole in his mind, and after some waiting, was eventually able to make a 2 meter long pole burst forth! He took it off the ground and tried it out, swinging it a bit and stuff. But when he actually used his full force to swing it, just the force of air made it snap. He was able to conclude that it was weaker than normal wood, and after examining and comparing it between the floor, he discovered that it lowered the density of the ground so it could produce the pillars. This made sense, as it would be a clear violation of the laws of existence.
James took a quick visit to yet another shop that had opened, and was promoting the durability of everything inside. He took a look and bought a massive block of something called "Necronum". It was clear it was strong, as a plate of armor made of it was able to survive over 100 blows from him, and only had a large dent in it.
When he arrived back home, he put it on the ground and concentrated on not lowering the density, but just morphing the object into a spear. He tried and tried, but was unable to produce the proper shape. On the 314th try, he finally makes a proper, long and sharp spear. He tries cutting himself with it, and it goes through his skin like a hot spear through butter! Even the divine ant shell beneath his skin is pretty scratched!
This spear was evidently strong, but he felt the blade of the spear was too short, so he transformed some of the length into a blade, making it more suitable for him. After giving it a little more aesthetic by shaping the bottom into a ball and making the blade wavy, he feels he has done well. He suddenly remembers the dope af mofo Kratos and general norse things. He remembers runes, and notes that he knows how to translate them into english letters. He takes his dagger and carves runes that translate into "Battle Makes Power". He hopes that maybe in this world, runes can actually work and make things become real. Before sleeping, James cuts into the shell layer, and carves runes that mean "Fire".
After he jumped into bed and fell asleep, a red glint formed and coursed through the runes on his shell, and it could be seen very lightly. On his spear, the runes flowed with a deep gold, and then transformed into "Battle Makes Gods".
