When James returned home, he immediately opened his evolution panel.

[Would you like to evolve?]
[Yes] [No]
He didn't really have to think much, because the system had never let him down, except for when it summoned monsters across the globe. As he clicked yes, he felt as if he were laying in a featherbed.
James felt like his mind and body had become clearer, in a sense.
[Congratulations, you have become an Elite!]
[Would you like to improve your organs?]
[Yes] [No]
"What do you mean by improve?"
[No matter how much one trains, they will only improve their muscles and toughen their skin. Their internal organs will be as weak as a regular human's unless they have some special talent. This will mean they will tire, be susceptible to poison and disease, internal wounds and the like. However, this will improve you organs and give you predetermined exercises so you can continue to improve them.]
"That's incredible! Yes! Definitely! Improve my organs!"
He clicked yes, which led him to feel like he just drank some hot lava.
"WHAT IS THIS OH GOD NOOOOOO I THOUGHT YOU WERE IMPROVING MY ORGANSSSS!"
[The improvement takes 3 hours and it is quite painful. Your organs will be improved by the end of it.]
Through a terrible 3 hours of torment, he finally got back up.
[It has been completed. The efficiency and durability of your organs have greatly increased.]
"Wow, this feels amazing! I haven't eaten in hours, but I feel completely full. Also, I think you said something about exercises?"
[The info about your exercises has been transmitted to your mind. It should appear right about now.]
James felt a slew of information rushing into his mind, not causing him pain, but pleasure. The exercises seemed simple, painful and effective.
"So to train my lungs, I just need to hold my breath? Okay, I'll try that."
He held his breath and just when he expected to let go, he felt like he still had lots of oxygen left. He was able to hold on for 15 minutes, which was about 10 times his average.
"So is this what you meant by increasing efficiency?"
[Yes. The oxygen you require to survive has decreased by much.]
James decided to train his breath to up to ten hours, which ended up taking 3 days of training his lungs.
"My god, this feels amazing! I can go half the day while holding my breath!"
[Congratulations! For training yourself to hold your breath for ten hours, you have unlocked "Passive Breath Training". This skill will allow you to passively train you breath, no matter the task at hand, even if you are sleeping. You will not notice that you aren't breathing, and will still be able to talk. It will only be 75% as effective though.]
"Okay, activate it then."
Although he wasn't able to feel anything, he new that he wasn't breathing. He thought that maybe his digestive system had improved too.
[Yes, it has also improved. You can digest food quicker and can also suck nutrients out of it with higher efficiency.]
"Wait what? How did you answer? Can you read my mind?"
[Indeed. The system has the ability to respond to any questions that it can answer, whether you vocalize it or not.]
"That is going to be very helpful in public. If I were just talking, I would seem like a madman... also, show me the evolution panel again."

[Would you like to evolve?]
[Yes] [No]
"Great! I can evolve again. This is going to be quite helpfu-"
A massive aquamarine tentacle burst through James' wall, hitting him square in the face. He flew back, smashing against a wall. Both his spear and dagger were on his bedside, so he rushed to them, but another tentacle came and took them both.
"Dammit! What the hell is this thing! It took my weapons! I guess I have to fight it with my hands now!"
He jumped out of the hole the tentacle made and saw a gigantic octopus wrecking the city. He thought that it must be intelligent, considering it did snatch his weapons. He cocked back his arm and fell down on the beast, making his punch more effective. The octopus simply bounced back, seemingly taking no damage. He tried punching it again and again, but it was of no use. It was simply too springy!
He tried taking his weapons, but he could barely jump. All the force was absorbed by the octopus. He tried climbing, but it was too smooth. He saw an opening beneath the massive octopus... it was the mouth! He had no choice but to go in, so he slid down and entered it.
"Oh god! My skin is dissolving! And I can't breath! But I have the divine ant's carapace and have trained to stay breathless for 10 hours!"
He swam through the stomach juices and reached a wall. Luckily, the insides of the beast were much stiffer than the outside. He punched a hole through the stomach and all the acid poured out, making it dissolve the insides of the octopus! He also jumped out and held onto a vein. He climbed it like a tree, making him reach... something? It was a red ball...
"Wait, maybe it's an egg! I should take this! Maybe I can get a new pet!"
He slashed the veins off the egg, which caused the octopus to roar with pain. James took the egg and left it on the stomach. He continued to climb for what felt like an eternity, until he reached the liver. For those who don't know, the liver has lots of responsibilities. It has over 500 processes going on constantly. If it's gone, there's a good chance you won't last much longer. He jumped onto the liver and pummeled it until it became a fine paste. The octopus had stopped roaring a while ago, but james wanted to be sure.
He took the orb with what he assumed was a baby octopus snd jumped right back out the same hole went in through. There were many other people gathered supposedly fighting from the outside. When he came back out, everyone around was stunned, of course until they found out that he was the highest ranked member of the Hunter Association. He picked up his weapons and the red orb then jumped back through the gaping hole in his apartment, opening the evolution menu again.
