Chapter 84 - How long

***

While Joo Ah and Shin Suri were still waiting for Jagi to wake up, Joo Ah went close to Jagi and bent down.

"Suri...."

She said and waved at me which made me bend down close to her as well but I wasn't looking at Jagi until she pointed at her face.

"Is she...."

"Crying?"

I completed her statement and we both looked at each other.

"What in the world is she seeing?"

I asked but Joo Ah didn't answer and I wasn't expecting her to.

***back to Jagi***

"What is the meaning of this? Why are you showing me all of this?"

"It appears the human you saved two thousand years ago was the human who was meant to either save the witches or kill us all. Of all the seven queens you saw, I am the only one who has survived till this day and I only made it because I ran away and became a slave".

I already knew she was trying to tell me that this was my past but it felt like my entire life was cruel.

"I am no queen anymore but you are, you are the queen of all seven coasts".

"You're joking".

She walked close to me and placed her hands by the side of my shoulder.

"You brought this upon all of us, this is the least you can do to pay for your sins. Besides, it's not easy to become a queen".

"If what you are saying is true, it means I have nobody to rule, no kingdom to protect, and nobody to protect anybody from".

"Mmn mmn".

She said and shook her head.

"You are totally wrong. I said the queens were killed I never said all the witches were. Some witches were killed quite alright but there are many still surviving. They are just not queens and simply because King Han Feng's era is gone, it doesn't mean he didn't leave his generations to carry on his and his fathers' purpose".

I didn't know what else to say, some things made sense but others just didn't.

"Can you take me back?"

"Not until you see this".

I want ready to see any other thing but before I could say anything in disagreement, she held my hand and we vanished to someplace else.

Then, I saw it. I saw how they killed my mother, the queens, and some other witches. Then we went to the future and it appears the way they kill them still looked the same.

The royal family would beat witches, tie them up and begin to open up their bodies while they were still alive. They would take out their pumping hearts and then shout.

"All hail king Han Feng".

They threw the witches into the forest and left them there for animals to feast.

I don't know why but something in me was making my blood boil. I was angry and irritated, but most of all, I was disappointed in myself.

Suddenly Jagi and Kim Yuri woke up.

"Hey Jagi, are you okay?"

I asked but got no response. Jagi stood up slowly and walked out of the room.

"What did you do to her?"

Joo Ah asked Kim Yuri in a pretty pissed voice but Kim Yuri looked pretty calm. She turned toward the direction that Jagi went through and said.

"I guess she really is a queen".

I didn't understand what she meant by that so I looked at Joo Ah but she obviously didn't know either. When we were about to ask Kim Yuri what was going on, she vanished.

"Waaaa, so you can just come and go whenever you feel like it huh?"

"Let's look for Jagi".

I nodded and we went out to look for her. We searched everywhere but we just couldn't find her so we decided to go take a look in Lu Jinho's forestish place.

When we got there, she was there.

"Are you okay?"

She turned to look at us with tears-filled eyes and suddenly, she was crying a river.

We rushed to her and hugged her from the front and back trying to comfort her but it didn't seem to be working.

When Jagi calmed down, it was pretty late in the night although we didn't quite notice until she was done wailing.

"We have to leave, it's pretty late. We should all get some rest".

Joo Ah nodded and we wanted to help Jagi up but she stood up on her own and began walking away. The place wasn't dark because of all the lights Lu Jinho put in place so it was pretty easy for us to find our way back.

When we got inside, Jagi turned towards us and smiled.

"I'll see you guys tomorrow".

And without letting us say anything, she went upstairs to hers and Joo Ah's room. Joo Ah turned to me and said.

"Can I sleep in your room tonight?"

"You wish, we are both sleeping with Jagi. As far as I know, she might act tough but we both know she is pretty fragile in her own way especially when she is emotional".

Joo Ah nodded and we both went to her room but when we got there, the door was locked. We knocked for a while hoping she would open up but she didn't so we just let her be and went to my room to sleep.

The next morning, after having my shower and getting ready to go out, someone knocked on my door and I opened it since I was already by the door.

"Lu Jinho?"

"Hi".

He said while touching the back of his neck with his hands. I smiled looking at how cute he looked so early in the morning.

"What are you doing here? I didn't think I'd see you anytime soon".

"Can we talk?"

I nodded but then I remembered that Joo Ah was sleeping in my room.

"Not here though, Joo Ah is asleep".

He held my hand and took me to his room.

"So, what did you want to talk to abo...."

I couldn't complete my statement before he grabbed me by the waist and kissed me. After we kissed for a while, he moved a bit but still had his hands around my waist.

"I have to be away for a while".

"How long?"

"About a year".
