Lu Jinho stood up immediately and we both looked at each other before running towards the stairs but just as we were about to go up, a maid came running and I assumed she was the one that screamed.
"Boss there, there is a thief inside the mansion. The tiger ran after him when we saw him trying to break into your room".
As soon as she said that, Lu Jinho ran to his room and checked the door, but it was locked so he was sure the thief was unable to get in.
"Where did they go"? She looked at me as though she didn't understand what I meant.
"Jagi, where did he chase the thief to".
"Out....outside they went towards the garden".
I ran out of the house and went to see if Jagi was still in the garden. When I got there, I saw her there but the picture didn't look like what I was expecting. I saw Joo Ah sitting on the floor with Jagi in her hand and she was.....crying.
"Joo Ah?" She looked up to see me and she said something that made my brain go blank immediately.
"Jagi.....she's not breathing". She was crying so much that I didn't know what to do. I felt like crying but nothing was coming out. I guess Shin Suri and Li Meilin finally have something in common. We both forgot how to cry.
Joo Ah stood up while gently placing Jagi on the grass. She walked up to me and held my cloth. Though not tightly but I could feel it was that loose because she was weak physically and emotionally.
"It's your fault, this wouldn't have happened if only you just let us stay in the forest. Jagi would still be alive".
At this moment, she was yelling and pushing me back and forth but I still couldn't say anything.
"She's not dead". We turned to look at who was talking. It was Lu Jinho.
"She has a weak pulse due to the powder they poured on her, but she is fine. We just need to extract the potion she inhaled".
Joo Ah ran to see if it was true and I saw her shoulders drop in relief. As soon as I saw that Jagi was really alive, I left and went to my room. I was too tired for any other drama today.
Joo Ah was too occupied waiting for them to extract the powder completely that she didn't notice Shin Suri had left. Kay was there and since he was a doctor, he had some idea on how to do it. Though he was not a veterinarian and he was scared out of his bones, he gave it his best and they soon took out all of the toxic powder from her system completely.
When it was obvious that Jagi was out of danger, Lu Jinho called some of his men and told them to bring Jagi to her room which was the same room as Joo Ah.
Joo Ah finally noticed that Shin Suri was gone. She was feeling bad for accusing her like that earlier and she thought of going to apologize but then, she decided to leave it till the next morning.
The next morning, maids went to wake both Joo Ah and Shin Suri in their respective rooms. Joo Ah came out and Jagi was also finally awake. She was able to recover fast because she was a naturally strong animal. While Shin Suri on the other hand locked her door and didn't answer any of the knocks.
Later at noon, she finally woke up from her beauty sleep.
"Ahhh, ahh I'm hungry. Aishhh I still want to sleep, maybe I should just ignore my tummy. Just this once"
She laid back on her bed to get some more sleep but then, 'grrrrrrr'.
"Aishhh this stupid stomach. Best get something to eat".
I was going downstairs to search for what to eat but when I got to the stairs, the door from the east suddenly opened which made me halt instantly. Jagi came running toward me and I was happy to see she was perfectly fine. But when she came close, my survival instincts kicked in asap.
"Wow wow wow, back back back".
She dropped her forearm like she was heartbroken.
"You are breaking her heart, she has been waiting for you all morning".
Jagi immediately looked at Joo Ah like she was saying 'Liar'. It looked really funny I couldn't help but laugh.
"Well, sorry big one, but I'm still very scared of you. I'm getting used to you though. Give me time huh".
I then looked at Joo Ah and asked.
"Have you eaten?" She nodded saying no so I told her to eat lunch with me. Jagi was served close to Joo Ah but her plate was placed on the floor. It was a very big plate and it was full to the brim.
"I'm sorry about what I said yesterday".
