The rest of the journey went by really easily as the Blind Driver was whistling the entire time. Ulrich even started to fall asleep with a loud and obnoxious snore while drooling.
I was testing out my Skill: Poisoned Claws as I kept extending, sharpening, and watching how my nails turned to claws coated with a slight purple color. I even pulled out my shovel to test the sharpness of my Poisoned Claws.
"The way my hand flexes like that is a little disturbing, and I'm pretty sure the more I master it the smoother the transicion will become."
I said aloud as I placed my claws on the blade of the shovel as I tried to sever the metal apart!
The amount of sparks, none. The amount of metal being severed, none, not even a mark. My claws got shorter though, they looked… normal.
I just laughed as I put away my shovel as the carriage came to a gentle stop.
"Looks like this is where you get off sir." The Blind Driver spoke in a serious tone as I just started leaving the carriage and started to laugh loudly which seemed to scare Ulrich awake as he jumped.
My driver seemed to be confused as to why I was laughing, but just shrugged as he waited for Ulrich to exit the carriage as well.
"Just what was that laughter for, huh? I was having an amazing dream, it was about… dammit I literally just dreamt about..." Ulrich started yammering as he exited the carriage only to stop dead in his tracks just as he took five steps away from the carriage.
I just shook my head as I started to walk towards a butler who was waving me down as a loud crack sound followed by Ulrich screaming while cursing our driver. Who seemed to curse back at Ulrich for stopping in the middle of the path and blocking the flow of carriages.
"Ah, you must be the recent Baron. I am The Crown Princes Head Butler, Nondor The Damned. Siegbald was right about you. Please follow me as I have been instructed to bring you the Crown Prince the moment you arrive." Nondor said with a welcoming smile as he gave a slight bow.
I was a little shocked when Nondor presented himself as Siegbalds Head Butler as he looked just like a regular everyday citizen of the Otihame Kingdom. There seemed to be nothing truly noticeable from him.
But there was a part of me that felt differently as I felt that I was standing before a monster that was in their own class.
A Dragon!
Nondor seemed to notice my shock as a wide and knowing smile spread on his face.
"Are you ok, sir? It seems like you've seen a dragon?"
"I actually have, one is currently standing right in front of me." I answered with the same smile as Nondor The Damned, which seemed to make him smile more as he released a deep and throaty laugh.
"You Otherworlders are quite the creature. I mean look at you, a mix between three powerful creatures. But the third seems recent, a Demon Centipede." Nondor smiled as he placed one hand behind his back and the other on his chin. "But yet why do you smell as if you're one of my kin. Who was your father?"
I just smiled and shook my head. "I wish I knew. And what type of dragon are you, a Copper Dragon?"
Nondor smiled as he started to turn around and started to walk away from the entrance without saying another word.
I could only smile as I followed after Nondor as Ulrich seemed to finally remember something as he started to quickly follow after us.
Nondor continued to lead us away from the entrance as it looked like he was taking us to a smaller yet more personal house.
"He has been staying at my place of residence since the King did something he shouldn't have. We have had quite the fun discussions as of late. War, economy, infinstructure, and you." Nondor said as he opened the door to a massive hallway that was decorated with works of art.
"Damn, dragons. Always showing off their hoard." Ulrich spoke aloud as he sucked his teeth. "Wait… where did you get that piece?"
Ulrich asked as he pointed to a portrait of a younger version of himself in a provocative pose wearing only a small striped loincloth, as his voice raised a couple octaves.
"Oh that, that just came in right before the summoning of the Otherworlds. Came from the Moulon Kingdom."
A deep and familiar voice echoed slightly in the massive hallway entrance as Nondor seemed to disappear and arrive right behind Siegbald. He was dressed in formal military wear. There was even a sword placed at his hip as well.
"Bought it from the last Queen of the Moulon Kingdom if I remember correctly, mentioned something about having a certain 'favorite' in her pool of men." Siegbald explained further as he advanced down the hall in two steps.
"Ah, you're able to do it in two steps. Impressive Siegbald." Nondor praised with a look of surprise on his face.
"Yes, I thought it would be rude to have my Grave Digger fall prey to your damned welcoming hall. Why do you have it set up that way?" Siegbald nodded as he asked Nondor with a look of questioning.
"Oh that, I forgot to turn it off." Nondor didn't hesitate as he answered with a smile.
"It was off when they entered, it just turned on the moment I started to move." Siegbald look over at Nondor with a knowing smile.
"Really, it did? I shall make sure to get that fixed and… done. All fixed." Nondor seemed surprised at first before quickly smiling, and nodding his head.
Siegbald could only shake his head with a smile as he turned to face me and motioned for me to follow and nodded his head toward Nondor who seemed to bring Ulrich into another direction.
"Sorry about that, I am still getting used to living here. Just got done 'cleaning house' since I'll need to take over the Otihame Kingdom before the war of the three Kingdoms." Siegbald just declared nonchalantly as we walked down the entrance and into a side room that seemed to have brought us to a personal mountainside terrace.
"Don't worry no one will be able to interrupt us since this is my personal terrace. We can speak freely here." Siegbald said as he took off his sword as it just disappeared and sat down just as two pure white cups and a bottle appeared.
I didn't say anything as I slowly headed over to the chair across from Siegbald as he opened the bottle and filled the two cups. I still didn't say anything as I sat down in the chair and looked Siegbald in the eyes.
"What, do you mean you'll be taking over the Kingdom before the war of the three Kingdoms? How much have you 'cleaned house'? And what can I do to help?" I asked three questions as I grabbed the pure white cup and empted the cup.
Which probably wasn't the best idea as it felt as if I was drinking molten lava itself before changing to a snapping spine tingling chill after.
Siegbald just laughed from my expression as he took his cup and slowly sipped his cup.
