Chapter 31 - I Knew You Couldn't Resist My Charm

"Do I know you?" The red-headed cashier named Eve asked in confusion.

"Nah," Noah shook his head. "Are you a new worker here? I usually come to eat here but haven't seen you before."

"I just started working here today," Eve replied with a smile. "Though everyone here keeps saying that I showed up for work a few days back. It's kinda weird since I don't remember that."

"Weird indeed. Anyways, my order is…" Noah then ordered the food before taking one last glance at Eve's name tag and face.

He was hundred percent sure that she was the same person who had wished him happy birthday and good luck on the day of the ceremony.

Yet now, she was acting as though they had never met before. Noah couldn't help but wonder whether the girl was dealing with short time amnesia.

'Not like I care about that.' Noah shrugged as he went to the second floor to get a better viewpoint of the city.

He took two seats right beside a glass window and peered outside while waiting.

"You chose a good seat," Erika commented as she slid into the seat right in front of Noah.

She had changed into a casual outfit and looked happy for some reason.

"Having a good view while eating is a good thing." He replied. "Also, do you know the cashier who wished me on the day of the ceremony?"

"I think it was a red-head girl," Erika muttered before looking at Noah with curiosity. "Were you interested in her?"

"Even if I was, I am sure that Izzy would secretly put snakes in my bed." Noah mused as their order finally arrived.

However, he couldn't help thinking about Eve. Noah felt weird that he was acting like this as he had never given a random stranger this much thought.

'Well, I have to destroy Adulu first.' Noah shook his head as he started thinking of ways he would destroy Adulu's life.

The first one was quite obvious. He had to reveal Adulu's mistresses to his wife. The second was to find the information on him contacting the black market.

Though many officials were in contact with the black market, it was an illegal thing for them to do.

If any of them was caught with enough evidence, they would be fired, put in jail for twenty years, and would have to pay the government ninety percent of their income.

Noah had no idea who created such rules yet whoever it was must not have been that sane of a person. Well, they did work in Noah's favor so he didn't have any problem.

'Checzoloa will come in handy during these times as I can ask him for a receipt to show that Adulu had been doing illegal business. Who could've thought that knowing a person's secret would be this helpful?' Noah mused.

He and Erika soon finished their lunch and exited the restaurant. Erika was about to call a cab when Noah stopped her.

"I'm going to school. There are a few books I've to get in order to prepare for the finals."

"Do come home soon," Erika stated before she suddenly vanished from her spot.

'Maybe I should try creating or finding a skill like that.' Noah thought before he started making his way toward the school library.

He didn't have to pick any books from the library but to cover up his statement, Noah was forced to get some books.

Noah entered his school building a few minutes later and made his way to the library. It was the biggest library available in the city and contained books on almost everything.

"Hello, and welcome…" the librarian was about to greet whoever was coming inside but his voice trailed off when he saw Noah. He ended up mumbling the rest of the words. "To the library…"

"Can I get the best movement skill related to lightning element as well as two books on the history of magic?" Noah inquired as the librarian nodded and scurried away to collect the books.

'Can't he just like… zoom through the air or pop up at different places?' The librarian thought while collecting the books.

Noah could, of course, do both of those things yet he would suffer from serious headaches and body pain due to having a low-level physique.

The reason he asked for a movement technique was to allow himself something less flashy and quick.

"Here is your stuff." The librarian came back with three books and handed them to Noah,

The latter tossed them into his storage, something he could access without having to open the Soul book.

Noah then left the library and decided to make his way to the black market once again.

Noah went to the same restaurant again and got a token again before slipping into the red light district.

However, this time, he didn't make his way to the adventurer's district.

'If I remember correctly, Checzoloa's mother worked around here only,' Noah thought while walking the streets of the red-light district.

It was around late afternoon yet the red light district had many more people in it as compared to before noon time.

'It should be right here… Aha!' Noah finally found the person he had been looking for.

It was the same woman that had asked him to accompany her yesterday yet he had rejected her due to her old age.

The same woman was now standing in front of a high-class brothel with a bored expression. However, her face immediately perked up when she saw Noah.

"I knew you couldn't resist my charm," she smirked. "I will give you a discount regardless."

Noah sighed inwardly as if he had been expecting such a response. He smiled at the woman before replying, "I am not here due to your charm or to get your services. I'm here to do business with you."

"Business?" Checzoloa's mother frowned slightly as she had a feeling about what Noah was talking about.

"Your real name is Stella and you are the ex-wife of the owner of this black market. Your son regularly engages with you in carnal pleasures under the cover of the night and you place pleasure and sex over anything else," Noah replied. "Isn't that correct?"

Stella was at a loss of words as she looked around with a horrified expression. Fortunately for her, Noah had made sure that his words couldn't be heard by anyone else.

"You…"

"I know I am handsome. No need to tell me." Noah cut her off with a smile. "I'm here because I know that you manage most of the brothels here. I want you to take out the information on one of the government clients who visit here to see five specific women."

"If you know that, you must also know the rules that no such information goes out?" Stella narrowed her eyes. "This place is still running because many of those working in the adventurers center come here for cheap fun."

Brothels were of course legal all around the world yet their prices were quite high and the lower-end ones weren't exactly the best for one's sexual future.

That was why brothels in the black market functioned at a much cheaper price and many people visited them to indulge in sexual activities.

In return, the brothels never sold out the information on their clients and didn't have to pay any form of taxes.

It was a win-win for both sides.

"Well, I don't think your ex-husband would like to hear about you and your son fucking each other…" Noah deliberately stretched his sentence. "Especially after you were told to cut all ties with the family."

"Kid, what do you think will happen if I suddenly decide to attack you?" Stella's demeanor suddenly changed as she decided to shift strategies. "I'm much older than you and have tons of experience with bad customers."

"If you decide to attack me, then this can happen." Noah suddenly tapped Stella's forehead with his right index finger before looking at her with a calm expression.

Stella immediately felt a sickening feeling in her stomach as she lightly groaned.

Many passer-byes looked at her for a few seconds before deciding that she was probably role-playing and continued on.

Stella suddenly felt the sickening feeling vanish as she looked at Noah with fear in her eyes. The young man was a monster hiding under the disguise of a handsome face.

"I agree to do what you want," She said at last before staring directly into his eyes. "But I have one request."

"That is?"

"You have to fuck me."
