Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Who am I even supposed to be

The voices were all whispering to one another it was hard to make out what any of them were saying. Finally a clear voice spoke out sounding somewhat familiar. Okay ok let's everybody just calm down here and just ask him where he came from and what he knows. Sooo you wanna tell us? Hero is pretty sure this voice belongs to Misty the water gym leader from the show. As she came into view he now knew for sure it was her. He finally spoke up and just replied. I came from the forest I'm not to sure how I got there but I found a path and it led me to this town. He continued on to tell her and everyone else about the noises and claw marks that he heard and saw. The room got quite at his mentioning of all this. Misty asked. Do you know what those are or where they came from? They don't seem to be Pokemon. At least any attempts to fight or catch them has just led to death no one has returned after setting out for answers or revenge. Some of us have seen more than we would have liked to ever see in our lifetime... horrible things unimaginable pain. She looks to Hero in angst hoping that he will have answers. I'm sorry. He replied. I just assumed it was some kind of Pokemon I didn't know about. I didn't see anything, I only heard the howling and turned away as soon as I even tried to look. I do remember feeling as though my life was in danger. So I ran as fast as I could to get here. Once I noticed the barricade on the door of the PokeMart I figured I would run into people finally but I didn't expect a trap. My head still really hurts. He tried to move his hands to rub his head and alleviate the pain a little but he was still tied up. Misty noticed this and went to untie him not before grabbing a bag of ice though to make sure and help him with his pain. As she put the ice on his head he reacted with a simple. Thank you. She balanced it on him then untied him from the chair. As his arms freed he grabbed the bag and just held it there for a bit while stretching his other arm then switching out to make sure and stretch the other one as well. He wondered about Ash and Brock where were they he thought. Suddenly lights turned on and he could now see everyone in the room. He didn't recognize anyone so these must have just been simple townsfolk. He looked towards Misty and asked. Where are Ash and Brock? Um I'm sorry I'm not to sure just who your talking about are they friends of yours? She replied. Well then he wondered. Have I gotten here in a time where they all haven't met yet? He thought to himself. I guess you could say that they are friends of mine. Although I've never actually met them. He stumbled over his words a bit as he replied. Misty wondered if maybe he was referring to the Pewter city's gym leader Brock and proceeded to ask him if that was one of the people he was asking about. He confirmed with her that was indeed who he was referring to. She went on to say. Well if that's who your wondering about he's probably in Pewter city. Well where are we now. Are we in Cerulean city? He quickly asked. Well yeah of course we are. I know it might be hard to recognize due to its current condition but we've all hunkered down inside this PokeMart cause many of our loved ones have died out there trying to make simple repairs. My sister's...she stops her words as they are to painful to speak. Noticing this our Hero places his hand on her shoulder and assures her that he will find out what's going on and do whatever he can to restore her town. Her face lights up a bit and with her mood lightening slightly she smiles and says. Well I really appreciate that but I'm gonna have to go with you I need to see for myself exactly what's going on. He didn't hesitate to accept her help considering the fact that he would likely die out there without some Pokemon friends of his own to help him out. He explained this to Misty, to her surprise she couldn't help but wonder why he didn't have any. He definitely looked old enough and it was unheard of especially now a days to be traveling at all without one. Well this is definitely a predicament. It's to bad that the professor isn't here. I'm actually not to sure where he is exactly. She said worryingly. No one has seen him since all this darkness and weird creatures started showing up. Oh well I guess your gonna just have to catch one. She says as she hands over 10 PokeBalls.
